Why no 1LE option on chevrolet website

After reading the recent Car and Drive Lightning lap articles on both the V6 and SS versions of the 1LE, I proceeded over to the Chevrolet.com website to do a build and see what one might cost optioned the way I want it.

Well guess what, no 1LE option available on the build your own configurator yet.

I know that Becky reads this forums. Is it safe to assume that dealers can order the 1LE package now even though it does not show on the Chevrolet website yet?

GM said order Q3 delivery Q4 for the 1LE.

That gives GM 2 weeks to get it together. Im practically begging to give them my money if they would just hurry up already!

I would expect it to pop up on the site in the next 2-3 weeks.

I have been logging on every day to see if it's been added. I'll keep doing it until it is.

If you go into the Build and Price, select 1LT, go forward to the options, and select the Brembo brakes, a window pops up allowing you to select 1LE, but it says "See dealer for pricing." Here is what the 1LE window says on 1LT:

Adding the LT 1LE Performance Package will change the following:
  • Add
  • Heavy-Duty Cooling and Brake Package
  • 3.6L V6 Direct Injection engine with Variable Valve Timing
  • Dual-mode performance exhaust
  • High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with halo rings

  • Remove
  • 245/50R18, blackwall, all-season tires
  • 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder SIDI engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT)
  • 18" Silver-painted aluminum wheels
  • Tire inflation kit

Great catch. It doesn't work for the SS though.
