Michlin launches new tires: The Pilot Sport 4 S

Searched the Tire sub-forum and didn't see this mentioned. Looks interesting.

Michelin is replacing its Pilot Super Sport (PSS) with the Pilot Sport 4 S (PS4S).

I've been waiting on this for months (still not available). The super sports have been tough to get in my neck of the woods (in my size)...along with the sport cups. Hoping to get a good comparison report on the PS4S. I did pick up the PSS's when they were restocked because they are so reliably good. Figure I'm good for 3 months and will need new tires anyway!

The articles I read said tires are supposed to be available March 2017. Hopefully tires will start sampling to car mags soon so we get some reviews before spring.

Dang - no one makes a tire quite as good as the PSS. And now Michelin has made a better one?!! Nice!!

Wonder if they will make these in a ZP model. I really like my GY F1 A3's, but might consider these in the future if they make them in a ZP model.

Nice, I wonder how long before their self sealing tech makes it to the high performance department? It would be nice to have it all. haha.

The Pilot Super come in a ZP (Zero Pressure) model, that is what the C7 Vettes come with. I would assume that Michelin will come out with a ZP model for these tires as well.

I'll be interested to see how the new Continental ExtremeContact Sport compares to this tire. For 305/30/20 and 285/30/20 it's about $1500 for the Sport 4S's. I'm sure the Continentals will be cheaper but I wonder how the performance of them will compare. The Continental tires are supposed to be out next month.

Tire Rack's web site isn't showing it in this size. They don't list the 295/35/20 that was available on the PSS either.
