Camaro 2LT RS or Kia Optima
Hey Guys,
I am here asking a really weird question(maybe). I saw a Red colored with Black rally stripes Camaro 2LT 3.6L, and I really loved it. As it is 2016 car, they are having a sale going on for that as well. But, the problem is one of my friends is discouraging me to get Camaro in this winter and telling to go for a sedan, which is likely a Kia Optima. Can someone please suggest me a good option? And also, my main concern is, guys, can you please tell me is it hard to maintain Camaro, or is there a lot of maintenance to it? And also the fuel efficiency. Thank you very much for all of yours reply and really appreciate it. Cheers.

Well your choice is either a driver's car or an appliance that gets you from A to B. I really doubt anyone from here will suggest the Kia, I certainly won't, so I think you know the correct answer to your question.
In all seriousness, the Camaro is an excellent car, maintenance is not expensive, especially with the V6 model. If you are planning on driving it in the winter often I suggest purchasing another set of rims and tires for better safety. I drive my SS year round and I'm on dedicated winter tires for the winter. These car handle great in the snow. You just need to be cautious, however the nannies will help keep you safe. I had a 2011 2LT as well. Honestly you'll fall in love with the Camaro once you drive one.

I will admit Kia has came a long way that said there's no heritage
Camaro hands down (just my opinion I wouldn't own a Kia) Good luck test drive them both see what you like! All I have done in a year of ownership was change the oil on my Camaro so far so good. Oh the dealer paid for the oil change came with 5 free ones lol fuel cost priceless with this beautiful car.

I've driven in snow ever since getting my license living in the North East US.
I only ever had 1 car and it's always been a camaro. 3rd gen V8 in the snow. Yup. 4th gen v8 in the snow. Yup. Like snow to the point where you will fall off the highways due to their banking them so water runs off the edges and you have to drive with the nose of your car pointed toward the center of the highway to stay on the road and not slide sideways into the shoulder (which is ironically where i saw several camaro's sleeping) Never had the 6th gen in the snow, since i recently moved to where the weather doesn't suck as hard. But the camaro's i did drive in the snow didn't have nearly the amount of traction control systems in place as the new camaro does. Though, i think if you're not confident with snow driving and others around you snow driving, the Kia will probably result in less stress since who cares if someone hits it or you take out a curb. Nobody will (nobody will care that is.... people making bad decisions in snow is par for the course). |

If you're so confused between the sedan and the V6. I would suggest wait for the Kia Stinger. That comes with a twin turbo V6 with an optional awd system.
But, no sedan can beat the handling of a sports coupe. The camaro aerodynamics are built for the speed and fun driving. |

If you want a car you will love driving get the camaro. Heck I enjoy just looking at mine. My V6 manual has got up to 32 mpg and I'm very happy with that even though I came from a chevy sonic that got 38 - 40 mpg but hey 138 hp compared to 335 . I never looked back.

I bought some dedicated winter tires and they're amazing. No problems in the snow at all.
I have 11,500 miles on mine and all I've done is change the oil. The V6 takes regular gas and gets 20-30mpg. I'm expecting it to be inexpensive to maintain and so far it has been. Living with a Camaro every day could be a challenge if you like to drive people around or carry a bunch of crap in your car. For a single guy like me who wanted a fun car to drive, it's perfect. Hi, I strongly suggest you take your friend for a ride at the dealership in both cars. Do the Kia first and then try all models of the Camaro turbo, 3.6 and 6.2. After your friend try's to wipe his OMG smirk off his face, get the SS model and enjoy the car for along time. You will not regret it.
