Eh. VT is a lot of dough for a re-wheeled turbo. I mean, it's a 'package', but a package of over priced garbage. Their intake tube, looks like a metal dog turd. Then you're stuck with their proprietary tuner, no thanks, I prefer to tune for the most power possible. Don't even get me started about their 'E85 kit' for $349, that is about $60-70 worth of parts. That right there should give you an idea of how bad they are bending you over with no lube.

You can do a lot better for $2700. Personally, I'd go with this...

Injen EVO7300 $365
Kamak turbine wheel $200
Kinugawa compressor wheel $100
Turbo rebuild kit $29
Turbo Assembled and balanced $350
Downpipe $200
E85 'kit' $70
QTP 3 inch cut out $230
Cutout install $100
ZZP Intercooler $800
HPT Pro $650
Innovate Wideband $150

That's $3244, but you can get it down under $2700 if you already own HPT, which I do. Then you're only $2594, and if you're getting tuned, take out another $150 for the w/b O2, but add $400 for some decent tuning somewhere and the grand total then is $2844. That's only spitting distance from VT's pricing with MUCH better parts, an intercooler, and WAY better tuning options.

Or, you could save $100 because they use the same Bosch LSU4.9 sensor. You can't see millisecond difference on the gauge, and I don't think I can see millisecond when datalogging via HPT.

Same sensor yes, but used more effectively and able to dectect much briefer lean moments... Dsport did an awesome side by side... The innovative was unfortunately one of the slower reacting in the test (nice looking product/ display though)

For some reason this is missing some paragraphs... I've got the mag at home though, the inovative was the 'pink' line on the graphs, so not the worst as one sensor missed the lean event all together (kinda looks like one was malfunctioning), but as the lean spot was tuned out the innovative lost the event (even though it was still there)
I know which one is going in my car

I'm fairly certain the 16+ Camaro 2.0 has a wideband sensor already.

1. I wouldn't believe a word of that rag. Talk about biased. They say they wouldn't do the test because they have journalistic integrity or some such bullshit, then AEM had a 3rd party do it, then they cash AEM's check and proceed jizz all over their new product.

2. I wasn't talking about the LC-2. Innovate has a similar product to the new AEM deal. Take a look at their MTX-L.

3. You're still splitting millisecond hairs. If you wanna pay for the AEM name, that is your prerogative. I've never had an issue with any of my Innovate products. I've had several LC-2's. Every shop I've dealt with in my area runs Innovate sensors w/ their dyno. And... I can think of a lot better places to blow a hundo. Putting down some college drop out's g-string sounds like a good idea at the moment, so I'm gonna go do that shortly.

Think you might have misread some of that article... Dsport is one of the least biast publications out there; they've lost advertising for for calling paying company's products junk (in print).

I will check out the MTX-L, love knowing about the new products out there...

What you want to do with that 'hundo' is totally up to you man I could think of worse things to blow it on though

Also has nothing to do with the 'AEM' name, I just like new tech and innovations in the auto world, that's all... And millisecond or not, why sacrifice a 'crisper' throttle responce if that lean spot can be tuned out accurately instead of guessing at it?

Just checked the pricing both the AEM X series and the innovative MTX-L are both about $200,
Prices have leveled out a bit...

Speaking of sensor, are our boost numbers available to us? I heard the gauge is there. Can we activate it?

Maybe the sensor info is there, but I was under the impression only the 2LT has the actual physical gauge? I'd assume you'd need to buy the gauge and install it to 'see' the info
