I'm trying to get the back seat out, but for the life of me I can't find a way to make it release. It feels like it's attached between your legs, if you were sitting in the seat, towards the front. But, I can't feel a latch or lever to get it to release, and I'm not comfortable pulling any harder than I have so far (feels like any harder would break something).
Any tips for getting the back seat bottom cushion out of the car? Thanks! |

call the service dept at your dealership and ask. I'll bet it's pretty simple.

Rear Seat Cushion
Procedure 1. Lift up on the front of the seat cushion to disengage the cushion from the floor retainers. 2. Push down on the rear of the seat to unhook the cushion wire from the lower cross bar hinges.

You've done it in a 6th gen car? I was pulling up pretty hard on the front of the seat, and it didn't seem like it was going to let go before something broke...

I figured this out when running a wire to the fuse box for my dash cam and radar detector. No tools were needed!!
1. Take off the back seat top, I let the seat down to like a 45 degree angle and pulled one side up, then you can take the other side off. If you open the seat top up, you can see the hinges are open on top. 2. Then I lifted the back seat bottom from the back, I did not have to pull hard and it came right off. I pushed the cushions out through the trunk so I did not scratch anything. |

well, after much finagling... the answer is just pull really hard. I use two pry bars one on each side. There's no latch mechanism or similar to be release.

Yay
Thanks Obioban... i was in same situation as yours. I was afraid something would snap and break (which the clips did break). I just gave some power and lifted the back cushion and it worked! You saved my day
