Are the 1LE rims available on the 2SS?

I can't even find the 1LE on the online configurator, nor can I see the 1LE rims as an option on the 2SS. I think they are the best looking rims for the car and would love them on the Vert I am looking to order.

I'm new here so sorry if this is a stupid question.

No but there are replica's

https://mrrwheels.com/collections/wh...cts/m017-black

MRR is just one company offering them. I'm sure there are more.

Not a stupid question at all. You can't order your car with them but you can order them from a GM parts dealer or as stated above the MRR replicas.

Buy the MRR replicas and put the money you saved toward some good tires.

FYI, the replicas are a very slightly different shade than the OEM

I will never buy anything other than OEM wheels again. I bought a set or reproduction wheels for my Corvette and could never get the vibration at 50-70 mph out. I had them balanced several times then took it to a professional to have it force balanced. He said they needed centering rings. I called the vendor that sold them to me and they told me they don't need centering rings and were made for my car. I could never find someone to fix the issue and the car rode like crap. I had sold my OEM wheels when I put the repro's on so I could not go back to them. I also had trouble with the after market TPMS sensors I bought with the wheels and had to send them back to the vendor. Had to have the tires partially unmounted and put the old TPMS sensors back in. A shame since the reproduction wheels looked really nice.

Depends on the brand. There's tons of people from both Camaro5 and Camaro6 running MRR wheels without issues. I wouldn't write off ALL repro wheels.

That said, the OEM ones are fully forged (supposedly) and the MRR repros are flow forged so the OEM is going to be more expensive. Depends on what you can afford.

I've heard this from others too.
Not knocking the aftermarket world. but aftermarket rims (unless they are high quality forged) they are good for cosmetics. If you plan on tracking your car. I wouldn't do it. Unfortunately the OEM rims are expensive. No surprise.

Don't judge all aftermarket wheels by one set.

I've run many different aftermarket wheels. I think 4 sets on my G8 alone. It uses standard BMW sized wheels, and I've found a lot of cheap wheels. And they've all performed admirably.

Hello,

I bought the 1LE rims for the Mighty HABU (and put Nitto All season tires on them). They are 1.5 inches wider than the stock 50th anniversary rims (each). It is possible to go wider (or taller with the tires) but these have no rubbing issues even during tight u-turns.

I love the look of the 1LE rims. In the bright sunlight, they sparkle just like the paint does. It's a very close match in color for the GM rims (at least to my eyes)...

Kindest,

Donner

What are the exact specs on the OEM wheels? The MRR ones don't look to be as wide or tall as the OEM ones, at least in my eyes...
