I guess if you like Mustangs it's not the worst they've ever done...but I just don't see the appeal.

I also find it interesting they're beginning to mimic the methods used by Camaro...Mag Ride...10-speed...active exhausts...I guess some things just transcend brand: they just work.

In fact, here's what I can tell that they changed:

- hood
- front bumper
- fog lights
- headlights

Beyond that, I don't see any other changed, cosmetically. Of course, there are the other changes that you can't see (suspension, power, trans, interior).
The rear end is also new.

Different colors help it a lot. The new fully digital cluster is bad ass!

Yeah, the Camaro did bring about those features in the Mustang... I don't think anyone can deny that. But the Camaro is not the first sports car to have those features and the 10-speed was co-developed by Ford and GM.

I honestly don't have a brand affinity one way or the other. The Camaro was just the better car a year ago, and maybe it still is. Having good competition will improve all cars and that's something we should celebrate.

I still don't think it should be labeled ugly though...

Considering that GM and Ford developed the 10 speed together I don't think it's fair to say that Ford is following GM's lead on putting the A10 in the Mustang.

It was pretty much a given that eventually the A10 will be the primary RWD transmission for both companies given how much money they've sunk into it.

I read this (Mustang) is going up in price too...base price is going to rise as well they said since the old base car is now gone (no more V6).

I see you are a "Mustang Fanboy", but come on now. Not sure if you saw my other posts, but I currently own a '15 GT as well as a '17 SS. I like both cars, but the torque difference in both cars, especially at lower revs is VERY noticeable. Even my wife can tell...gearing does NOT fully make up for the lack of torque, not even close.
Exactly.

The performance pack version looks better than the standard GT now that we got photos, but it doesn't come off as original anymore. They took many cues from the Camaro, I'm not referring to the digital instrument cluster, but rather the rear wing, active exhaust, magnetic ride control, and front hood vents. I was more pony car like before the refresh, and shared it's own identity, now it's trying to achieve more sporty identity to mimic the Camaro I guess.

Which just isn't original .... Looking forward to pricing specs though. I'm sure there will be a price increase, and the PP with MRC will get well into low to mid 40's.

Pricing coming up to Camaros level would be sensible for them? Or do they keep the edge?

Not sure what you expected? It's just a mild refresh...80% of the body is the exact same.

All I see is dollar signs. Damn thing is going to cost a fortune. 16 fuel injectors. Michelin PS4 tires. Active exhaust.

They are giving everything people seem to want, but no way is the performance pack going to be a inexpensive option anymore.
