The problem is me as well as the season guys being honest. I am the one wanting more and suggesting head porting, throttle body porting, bottom end forging, and swapping cams (vengence was closed from 12/23 - 1/3/17) so again more waiting that is not any fault of the shop. Also the machine shop was closed for 4 days as well. Once the heads, snout, and throttle body is back after 2-3 weeks it should be a week afterwards before it's complete. I'm just blowing steam guys bc I'm ready to drive my car and tired of waiting. It's nobody's fault for the delays except me wanting more.

I just took a peek at VR's website. They're showing cam stages I,II,and III. They don't however show any specs on any cam that they offer. For reasons I truly respect and understand. So it requires the end user to understand what he's buying. For me personally, regardless of what it took to spec a cam, I couldn't buy it without knowing every aspect of it. But that's just me. The fact that they shipped you a stage III showed a communication breakdown in the process. So my suggestion would be , give them all of the info you have. 100% drivability should be priority #1. By it being a stick car, you have the room to be a bit more aggressive. But you have to ask what the intake duration is. I personally wouldn't go passed a 228 in duration on a blower car that's primarily street driven (stick or A8). We're seeing blower cars making 550-650 rwhp without even taking the valve covers off. So that kinda points towards that tiny stock cam being more than adequate for 75% of us.. Make sure you are getting a 32% fuel lobe. A lash cap may bump it to 38% I believe.

Only issue I'm having now is a fkn tiny 157.00 sensor I broke on the transmission that is on back order : <

2.38 pulley, corvette blower or ctsv blower hmmmmm

Still waiting on heads, throttle body, and snout to come back. The shop is not doing that part and we are just waiting on them to finish porting and to return them to the shop. Hint hint they are known for being very slow (the shop also braced me for thjs prior to sending heads off to them). Soon as they come back it's only a matter of assembling and tuning. I still need to get a heat exchanger but am waiting on that til last minute. So for now no news, just week 6 of the waiting game. Had I simply just stuck to my original plan which was blower, stock unported lt4 heads, and a cam (no porting, no forged internals, no machine shop) I would have been finished long ago. It will all be worth it in the end though, at least it better be. Shoukd have an update next week (week of the 21st).

Yessir and it's also Sunday. I can not do anything at this point but wait for the heads to be returned. Once more the shop I'm using TOLD ME AHEAD OF TIME that the port shop is known for being slow. This is out of everybody's hand except the porter himself. I don't know if you do your own porting or send your heads off but in my case all were sent off and I am at their mercy. I did get a follow up call from Renegade (who btw has been nothing short of outstanding) saying they should be back by mid week (this was on Friday). I am also having an issue with getting the proper forged connecting rods as well which is a machine shop issue. All in all everything should come together this week as I stated earlier. Might be the end of the week but non the less it is getting ready to wrap up. I don't think you realize how big of a job this is turning out to be? I chose to keep asking for more, more, more and they are accommodating however this adds to the build time. Initially a blower install and cam job with pullies is no big deal. When you add porting heads, tb, and snout, then forging entire bottom end and balancing this is a rather serious build and common sense tells us it is going to take longer than a simple bolt on/ cam swap. You do serious builds so you should know this better than anyone. I'm simply waiting for it to come together but thankfully have two other new badass cars I can drive while mine is being built. Trust me I will post an update (good or ugly) when I get one. I have nothing to gain by doing either.

Yeah. We take pics, videos etc through out our entire builds all the time. I am not one to shy away of how we do the job and take care of the car when its in our shop.

I guess most shops are not as generous as ours

So any news this week?

I will take pics tomorrow. The pics will be of my car in a stall covered with the engine out of the bay. The forged rod did arrive to the machine shop on Friday, heads due in this week (per porter yesterday). I will more than likely buy a low pressure fuel pump (lt4) as I will probably run out of fuel. heat exchanger is also already in. Should be wrapped up by end of this week fingers crossed.
