Ordered 1LE sold accidentally, dealer gets replacement, what should I bargain

So gents I sadly had my order sold by dealer salesman and they are now getting another one from another dealership. What's should I put on the table when it comes to the day we sit and deal the purchase? Ready set go....

That sucks... For starters, if the dealer dont offer free oil changes(OEM) and a free loaner for everytime you come in for ANY service I would start there. Since they messed up I would also ask for some sort of free extended warranty or a big discount on extended warranty. Perhaps a credit for accessories. Maybe supplier discount off MSRP plus all discounts that apply.

I agree, the dealership manager was really apologetic but to me I spent a lot of time contacting him and making sure the order was made. I've read on the forums about discounts and all in which I plan to push for also not sure exactly which ones I qualify for? If there are anymore suggestions that I should push for it would be appreciated.

I am sure this was "accidental".......Not a chance. Personally, I would switch dealers after that BS. My guess is someone offered sticker or above and they closed you out. Just my opinion of course.

I agree with this. I would be beyond pissed. No way I would buy from them at this point.

Make that 3 of us who would move along. Unless you're 100% committed to going there for service. Even if it truly were a mistake, that's pretty bad and you should be compensated. The car they are getting from another dealership also needs to be identical to what you wanted. On top of that, things that are cheap to them but valuable to you seem like easy scores (eg: 10 free oil changes, tire/wheel warranty, etc as already mentioned).

Don't walk in there like they owe you the world though because they really don't NEED to do anything. But they should try to make things right if they want anything but straight zeros on their report card.

Good luck man!

I would say money talks and the guy bought your car on the spot. Did you have a deposit and everything signed?

I would contact GM and let them work it out for you. Ready set.... u got screwed.

Contacting GM will do nothing in this case, once GM ships the vehicle to the dealer they are out of the loop. Once the car hits the dealers lot it is their car to do as they please with it.

I had the same thing happen on my 2014 truck, when it got to the dealer my salesman and the manager I had been working on were both out of office the day my truck hit the lot from the transport company. A salesman sold my truck that Saturday night. Luckily the dealer found another truck optioned the same way other than color and was able to make the deal work for me.

At this point I would just work with the general manager and go from there, stuff happens. It isn't like the car comes in with your name on the window sticker, it is just a car on a transport with a VIN. Once it is checked in it is up to the dealership inventory manager to cross the VIN and car against any open orders they have.

I would contact Becky on this forum and see if she can hook you up quickly with another 1LE. She does handle the shipping.
