Just Curious - NA to equal SC

I was just curious about what it would take mechanically for a NA car to achieve the same RWHP results of a SCd car such as a Maggie with a canned tune. Not looking at race fuel or e85.

Plz be a bit more specific. Are you referring to HP or ET? And are we using the same $8-10k spent on a blower or is there no budget at all?

Define results...

Dyno numbers or win/loss street/track?

Sorry - RWHP. Let's say 550 without e85, race fuel, or additives if possible. Just purely mechanical.

Budget not a consideration.

Its possible with the right heads and cam. A 416ci is not needed to get you there, but I am big fan of cubic inches. Far more than a blower...

So you're saying that those cubes will get you to 550?

Sub_ETCS_ret you have been doing some serious researching before you make a purchase. My ultimate goal was 550, still hoping I can get there with e85, exhaust mods down the line, etc..

I also stress that a custom race valve job is worth its weight in the performance world... Its a small detail that gets overlooked a lot...

yep budget no problem:

Katech’s engine made 703 hp at 6,800 rpm and 625 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm, compared to Chevrolet’s supercharged LT4’s 650 hp. It’s also nearly 55 percent greater output than the LT1’s standard 455hp output. We should qualify the numbers here by pointing out Katech’s LT1 numbers were factored with STP correction math and Chevrolet’s official power numbers use a SAE correction factor to produce the output number. That means Katech’s numbers are higher than they would be with comparable SAE correction—perhaps around 4 percent.
