If you run slicks on any car you should expect to upgrade the axles...

Don't put slicks on it. Period. You can launch the car soft, but then there's no point in having the slicks. It's kinda a catch 22.

Could someone explain how the lift shifting works? I want to try it but I'm afraid of banging off the rev limiter?

In sport or track mode if you are on the throttle at all when you shift it activates it automatically. So just keep it floored, and shift at the rpm you want...that's it.

The 1ss, at least in my case, does not have no lift shift. I've tried it, and missed the gear. It redlines and just sits there. Not 1 rpm more. I can tell you that the Rev limiter in the car is very soft. No bouncing around like the days of old. It hits redline and just will not spin any faster.

Yes it has no lift shift. Every 2016 and 2017 has this function built into the ECU and is adjustable with HP Tuners.

Surprised this is still something being discussed.

Thanks.

...and yes they do. I've even seen it enabled in HP Tuners.

I've driven two '16 1SS and 2SS, they all had no lift shift. My car does too...

I haven't had the balls to try that yet lol...I do have HP tuners though. Does anyone know what parameter it's under?
