Would love to connect with anyone on the forum who likes to autox and or track their SS. Based in DFW and active in the local autox scene. First question: has anyone been successful in finding 19" wheels that match OEM width and offsets?...Need to run 19's to get better tire options.

First drive to work is tomorrow...Will leave early and park "way out" in the parking garage!
Congrats, at least your lucky enough to have a parking garage at work, many do not, but I can certainly relate to your parking way out comment.

Got mine in a week ago and I have 280 miles on it now. I should have waited and got the clear bra protection done in many areas first. I have paint chips from the rear tires already. I will touch it up, and get to my clear bra guy soon before driving again.

Bitchen car, and what a value !

Cheers Dale

Where are the chips appearing the most? What area would you deem the most important to get covered?

I should get mine soon and am having the dealer do the bra just want to make sure I have all my problem areas covered

I'm having Xpel installed next week. I am getting whole nose/front bumper/splitter done, plus having the GM film in front of the rear wheels removed and replaced with larger pieces, as well as some strips added behind each tire. I have about 400 miles on the car so far, no chips yet, but I've stayed off the big Interstate so far and drive on roads I know aren't funky. But, I can't do that all the time obviously, hence the Xpel install coming...Xpel is awesome as not only does it offer protection, but it makes bugs and crap that get on the front of the car while driving much easier to clean off. My dealer offered it too, but I wasn't happy with their film quality and I rather have a certified installer do it.

I wondered about the quality of the GM film. I've considered expel but thought it to be easier to just have dealer do it and add onto the price of car. However if there is that big o a difference then I may rethink

Thanks man appreciate it.

What kind of prep work are you going to do. Afraid of use a sealeant on it the film may not stick.

I just wash it, and detail spray it before I bring it to him. He uses some sort of cleaner as well...each installer may have their own preferences. After I get it done I will do a full clay, polish, seal on the whole car.

Garnet Red for the win. This color is pretty wild in person.
