ThatGMPartsGuy.com ZL1 Carbon Fiber Scoop Now Available!

Hey Guys

I figured that anyone that was looking to get the scoop after the fact or was waiting on that package from GM and decided on going a different route that we would be able to
now offer the scoop by itself.

So0o0o0o here she is!

Note** The Scoop does not include the ZL1 Emblems, those would have to be purchased separately.

You are buying the hood insert outright.... the painted one is probably $1000 to $1,200..... They are both made with carbon fiber.... the option is to cover the cost of the clearcoat for carbon fiber which is very expensive.....

The Gen 5 ZL1 inserts are about $1500 I beleive....

Retail was $4012 for the AGM insert and $4605 for the ECF insert for the 2012-2015 insert. These are far cheaper than the Gen 5 ones.

plus, don't forget that when you are buying the car that the base hood insert is already factored in the price of the ZL1 at $xxx.xx value. When you set up to the exposed carbon weave version you are paying the difference from the base version at $xxx.xx then plus the difference.

Why not just order the stripe kit and have it installed? Much cheaper option than swapping CF hood inserts...

No there more like $3000, get them before GM sets the new price.

I'd say the new one is less expensive because it is a really simple design. The 5th gen is way more complex with the heat extractor louvers

Yea right. Your only paying for the upgrade clearcoat on the exposed not a whole new insert. The rest of the cost is in there like you said. Some people don't know how much good CF cost. I think I read somewhere that the CF wheels on the GT350 R are like $13,000 if you bought them from Ford. So really that price for the insert isn't that bad. I hope that these are better than the 5G inserts. There were a lot of issues with them.
