Black Exhaust on Tail Pipes

Took delivery of my 2017 ZL1 two weeks ago. Currently has less that 400 miles. However, I am getting a lot of black soot in and around the tailpipes. Is this normal? The back of the car gets really dirty with the fallout. This could become a maintenance nightmare.

Im sure if it is too much of a nightmare someone else will take it off your hands.

It's normal. My outer tail pipes also show a lot of black soot. The factory tune runs these engines on the rich side.

I cut the tips off and run the exhuast into the cabin so I won't see the carbon buildup....
