^^ Exactly.
If buying a modern supercharger system, I would never recommend a non-intercooled unit if intercooled is available. I'm surprised it's even an option to be honest. |

Always good to have options. In the end I might just go intercooled up front. Problem is not matter which direction I go, I going to want to spend money on some other upgrade 6 months later.
For now I will stay tuned to see how laynlo's nonintercooled/meth build turns out. |

I concurr that it is a no brainer if you are going for Street and/or Drag use, for road course use, may be really good drivers will notice the weight difference up front.

As you might guess, I have driven both systems extensively, even at ambient temperatures of 105F the non intercooled kit really runs well on the DI engines. With a max of 5.5 psi of boost the IAT generally hit a peak of about 150F when running hard and any restriction that the intercooler might add is gone. The system is really easy to install, (except for the bit of fight the balancer bolt will give you) and with a price of about 5K its not bad to add an honest 80-100 RWHP.
Probably about the same power as you could get with a Full Heads, Cam, Intake, but with the SC you still maintain your 3yr/36K warranty and have CARB approval if you are in a state that requires it. I have to pull the blower off the car again to install the LT4 injectors, when I do I'll do some pulls without intercoolers and water injection to see how much power it will make with that mod. Completely agree with the water system risks, but I have what I feel is a fairly robust failsafe solution for those that would like to have it. It's being installed on my C7 Z06 right now along with the new LT4 TVS2300 Heartbeat. I'll provide more information about it and operating characteristics as soon as we have the car finished. |

Thanks Mike, we really appreciate your input. When Mike gets his done he'll pass on the Cals to me and I'll put them to the test here in Missouri on the street and the track. We may do the dyno pulls this Sunday depending on how my buddy feels after his New Years Eve party he's having tonight. I'll let everyone know of the results. After driving the Camaro a couple hundred miles since my install I'm guessing he's right, probably 100 hp gain at the 5.5 boost level.
