I want this but without the crap suv

So Land Rovers tend to be junk you only lease but they did get one thing right.

http://www.autotrader.com/car-news/l...our-car-260086

Why do we not have an optional version of our keyfab that is a wrist band? Hell, it can even tell the time on the top just for fun.

I want this to replace my fab so bad. Though I wouldn't lock my key in my car with it. Why would i bring my fab if i had this?

Cmon GM. Or maybe this is a good idea for a lifehack. Tear the guts out of the fab. throw it inside some low profile housing that has some watch bands attached. This would be so cool. Luckily i always have pockets so i never have had an issue where the fab has been a problem but this is far superior.

I sure wouldn't have any use for anything like that.

Love the idea. But locking the real key in the car? No way. Everybody could just smash the window and drive away with your car - Explain that to your insurance

My fob in my pocket with keyless passive entry and push button start is awesome for me...don't need to be wearing anything, fob in pocket works well.

I call it "the fab fob". $129.99. Plus shipping.

Or you could lock the fob in your car and later just unlock it with your smartphone via onstar. Same idea but no wristband so it's like the land rover except better.

If you read the comment section you'll see Ford owners posting about having the little numeric keypad on the door they use for the same purpose. I had the keypads on my Mustang GT and SuperCrew but only used it once or twice.

I think the Fab Fob needs a bit of some design time but it could work. It's barely bigger than most men's watches and that worthless industry could use an update that actually serves a purpose in real life.

I dont agree with the locking keys in car nonsense from the article. I dont know anyone that stupid where that's such a regular thing or even an intentional thing that it needs a day-to-day solution. I think it would be even more convenient to never even have to put something in your pocket. Something non-intrusive that you could put it on and forget about it for weeks at a time.

Bonus if it's wirelessly charged on a docking station.

I had the keypad on my Mercury Milan and used it almost everyday for 4 years I had the car. When you're running about 7 miles per day (or 1hr) and even longer on the weekends, it was nice to have nothing in my pockets at all. And no, I never in my life have run with a phone either.

Running shorts are thin/lightweight and a chunky key fob in your pocket while not that big of a deal, is noticeable and not nearly as preferable has not having to carry anything.

That's the one and only reason I had for loving the keypad and not carrying anything with me. I guess surfers would probably feel the same.
