SS Camaro Weight with Heartbeat
Well I've weighed my car several times, but not with the new Maggie. Today it weighed 3720 with my aftermarket wheels and 3/8 tank of fuel. I had weighed it one other time with 3/4 tank and my golf clubs and it weighed 3740. So I think we added about 50 lbs with the Supercharger. I've been running my car at the track with more fuel then I should which is about the same amount of fuel I have in the car now. I'll take extra fuel with me to the track so I can run about 1/8 of a tank. With my Drag Pack we should be about about 3600 lbs with the 1/8 tank of gas. I'm going to try and cut 20 lbs off my fat ass also. Some guys pull out the back seat and I may do that to save a few pounds also.

I'd love that but my wife would want to watch. Oh shit I meant she wouldn't like that at all. Great thought, just wouldn't work after 43 years of marriage. Maybe I could just hire a petite girl to drive. Then we could both watch.

Haha. Good recovery and thanks for the data. Plan to get mine on the scale when she gets fixed.

Man I would bet it adds more than that! That SC unit was heavy!

Yours probably did since you did the intercooler. Think about it, your intercooler probably weighs 30 lbs at least with piping, hoses, intercooler. My box weighed 85 lbs, the box with foam weighed over 16 lbs, so that brings it down to 68 lbs, the stock intake weighs 17 lbs with covers, the stock CAI weighed 10 lbs, I'm pretty sure the rotofab weighs at least 5 lbs less. The other parts that come with that replace other parts are a wash. So, that's about 50 lbs. You intercooler may actually weight more then 30. I'm within a couple lbs.

Excellent info! I would have guessed much higher also. Good to know roughly where I'm weighing in at.
Thanks for the information and the explanation also!

Very nice, I thought the SC will add more than that.. you already have a light 1SS.. Won't be hard to get 10's with that power and weight

Lets hope so, I think 10.70 are possible with this car in the spring and fall. Little slower in the summer months. I've been talking with Mike (toohighpsi) about where we will end up in dyno numbers, he thinks somewhere in the 580's with the water injection and his tune. When we dyno here in a couple weeks we should be in the 520's to 530's he thinks. I'm not sure it will be the high, but its gonna be pretty cold in Missouri so he may be right. I'm know I'm pretty happy with the weight as I thought it might be in the 3740's but it wasn't and I've weighed in the same scale everytime so I know its accurate.

43 years of marriage, congrats! You must be as old as me, LOL. I'm an old street racer who turned to road courses, but you stuck with the straight line stuff. I'm impressed with what you are doing and appreciate hearing your estimates on SC weight differential. I am certain you will be in the 10s with your experience and commitment and looking forward to what your upcoming pulls produce.

I've been 9.70's years ago in my 68 nova, 11 second g8, 11 second corvette, couple pretty cool prostreet cars. I'm a die hard almost 65 year old and I hope everyone coming up can have a life like mine, filled with fast cars, boats and lots of low ride trucks. You can't do it if you've been through a couple divorces, too many kids, etc. Your wife has to enjoy most of it also. Most I said. Ha.

I had a Motion Performance prepped 67 396 Chevelle, low 11s, but mostly ran on the street with M&H wrinkle walls. Big goat eater.
