My dealer replaced the thing and did a wheel alignment. They told me alignment is required for this recall. Took two days to get done, but I got a loaner.

Parts ordered. I'm on the list. Dealer let me know during a tire change (flat).

Wheel alignment? That is odd. Wasn't told that.

I know right. I thought I hear it wrong. My recipe says they did the alignment.
Free anyway, can't complain.

I need to look into that. Why would the new line have to be dated after 6/10/16? I would think it would be a design change? Anyone out there who can shed some light on this?

Did I miss something? Had mine done last week, clearance was not an issue and no chaffing so the excess threads were cut off, car was built in April. As I understand the issue was with the line becoming misaligned and chaffing from friction between it and the bolt. If the line showed no signs of being chaffed the bolt is cut down to provide adequate clearance and off you go. If the line is in fact chaffed it has to be replaced. Has nothing to do with when the line was manufactured.

????? It's not date related. My car was built in April, no issues.

I was told about 4 hours, mine is going in Friday after parts came in the other day, I am hoping only 4 hours at the most.

Had mine done but took 1.5 days due to a defective O ring which caused the transmission fluid to leak after they replaced the old line (had to order new O ring). Now, I'm seeing a few spots of trans fluid under the car after being parked. Called service and they said probably not a leak from the new part but from some residual fluid that got trapped under the heat shields/chassis and its draining out now. Told to watch it for a day or two but bring it back in if it doesn't stop.......they will pressure wash the underside and clean anything underneath. I KNEW this recall wouldn't go as smooth as stated. In addition, I know nothing about a alignment that's required for this recall.......nothing shown on my repair order.

According to the recall procedure you are correct. I'm going to have to look and see if mine was rubbing since it doesn't mention on the notes from the dealer. It just mentions the dates.
