My dealer says they have an allocation, has put the order in, and I've got an order number. But he did mention Feb 9th. So I'm "guessing" he knows I won't be 2000 this round, but maybe by the first week in Feb.

That's what it sounds like. GM will pick it up in Feb to go 2000.

Just got a text of Order# TXWRFP
Is this order something we can check ourselves from time to time, or has to be done through dealer?? I was also sent a snap shot of 1100 earlier this AM. Thanks... |

You would think I would be used to this sorta thing...for those that don't know about NFA/Class III firearms like suppressors & short barreled rifles, you pay your $$$$ & wait months for ATF to get you the OK to pick up after back ground checks. It can make time drag out a little. I reckon this particular toy is going to be a bit more painful wait.

I do a side gig 01 FFL along with my regular job to help with the bills, but not sure how my NFA buddies put up with all the extra paperwork. I guess it's all relative. Hell, I'm slowly starting to figure out the GM trail. The whole 89 total for 12/22-27 has me scratching my head... |

Well when you figure there are about 5000 Chevy dealerships in the country, the odds are slim that a lot of us will pick up a 2017.

I've pretty much figured out my salesman / GM worry about sales for today & tomorrow...my sale to them I think is considered in the bag & they are going to wait until it's on the radar before my ZL1 is any sort of real priority. Yeah, I get it & appreciate their situation as well. Being a hard ass at this point doesn't improve my delivery date.
I'm sure I have floored them with the 411 I get here on the forum & they understand at this point nothing is going to get past me. Especially knowing the owner/dealer is directly involved with my sale. I'm not going to pull rank on anyone unless it's obvious & clearly dropping the ball. So far, they have done as asked & my order is in but not recognized by GM. Not much else the sales team or I can do with only 89 units for this Dec/16 window. So, I'll check status here late tomorrow or Wed with becky to see if anything has changed from my current 1100 status & if not check back Feb 9th per the info...I assume no changes to our status will happen until the new window/windows are here?? Honestly, my only desire is to get the 2017 A10 I've ordered. Yeah, the earlier the better, but if it takes longer so be it. It is going to be interesting how many total 2017's will be produced...again, really was not expecting only 89 units available for A10's in this Dec window. Knowing this helps put my order in perspective. This is has been an education watching how a new & desirable launch actually reaches the public. Copy/Paste from another thread on the allocation date acceptances if not picked: The Dedicated Order Cycles for ZL1's are: Dec 22 / Current Feb 9 Mar 9 Apr 6 This will include M6 & A10 Allocation. When I was ordering my A10, the guy ordering mentioned the Feb. 9th date. I mistook what he said as that Feb 9th was the anticipated build date of the car. Now I understand he meant that would likely be when my build was accepted by GM. The guy doing the ordering seems to be the only one at the dealership who really knows how the process works, and he's been on Christmas vacation. I should have listened closer, and it would have been nice to have the process explained a bit better! Anticipation is one thing, the bigger issue is that I sold my wife's AMG, and so we are a one car family until the ZL1 gets here! One the bright side, the guy ordering didn't commit GM to any dates, but his best guess was the A10 (barring complications) would be here end of March, first part of April. We will see!
