quick question, are they wired to your parking lights? stand alone power? or did you hook them up so they come on as they're supposed to?

Where did you tap into specifically for the option you chose? (wire color etc)

See the video in post #11 at 23:25 and it shows where I tapped into the parking lights. Seems as though the parking lights are always on, so the LEDs are always on. The indicator on the ColorSHIFT 2.0 Controller is lit when I look down. I have the controller mounted to the right and just forward of the gas pedal. The box is affixed with velcro to the carpeting so I didn't have to drill any holes. I zip tied the wire up away from where my feet won't ever hit it and the box is easy to reach to change colors or brightness while in the driver's seat. I just lean forward and push the buttons for the quickset 1 to 4.

That was the biggest thing I was curious about. I ended up extending the IR sensor into the cabin and leaving the controller in the engine bay.

Just wasn't sure if the parking lights were continous or not. Didn't want to deal with the "start up" sequence of the LED's all the time.

Where do you keep the controller box? I had these on my 5th gen and I put the box in front of the shifter. I cannot think of a place to put these

I have the controller mounted to the right and just forward and up of the gas pedal. The box is affixed with Velcro to the carpeting so I didn't have to drill any holes, just like the phone holder you see in the photo. I made sure the box was back far enough under the lip in case the leg air bags activate - don't want a metal box blown into my shin. I zip tied the wire up away from where my feet won't ever hit it and the box is easy to reach to change colors or brightness while in the driver's seat. I just lean forward and push the buttons for the quick presets 1 to 4. Here's a close-up:

The main wire goes off to the right behind the stereo where I have it looped a few times for slack in case I wanted to move the box. Then the wire comes back above my feet zip tied to the cable you see behind there all along and goes out to the engine bay where the hood-pull wire goes out.
