Really have my fingers crossed that I open these and they are what I expected.....

So back to your original question SimMan. Yes, I was one of the early adopters, and no I have not received anything from AAC.
Miner crossed the border with the help of an agency.. for which I pay a fee. I have the dimples and am a little pissed that it will be a royal pain in the ass to ship them back across the border - having paid duties and taxes and fees to clear the shipment and will have to pay them once again if I get a replacement sent. The feds don't believe in free goods.

This is straying off topic, but if you live in Canada, you have to have side markers go through customs? I thought it was just liquor/beer/wine & tobacco went through customs?

Everything goes through customs clearance ( if brought in legally). Some things may be duty free - but you still pay taxes as if you bought it in Canada. The government needs the cash.

I use a service that provides a US shipping address, ( most US sellers offer free freight inside US but can either charge an arm and leg or just not send to Canada). The service then brings item across border for a tiny fee - ( they bring many things at once so cost effective) but they declare everything and collect taxes).

I guess it's an occupational hazard sort of thing for me..
This is considered defective parts in injection molding.

If there were dimples in a fifty cent GM plastic seat trim cover that no one would really see, people would lose their minds & bitch about QC at GM. Oracle has dimples in a $400 side marker that you see every time you look at the car and some people are giving them a pass and saying it's ok..........

I'm not saying Oracle shouldn't do something about it, or that people shouldn't complain.. I'm just a person who doesn't like to bitch. I wouldn't be that person you described complaining to GM about a 50 cent piece..
I'm gonna trial run them a week and see if it bothers ME enough.

Too much of a hassle to put it all back to stock then wait a long time again to do it all over again... guess I'll just refrain from buying from AAC and Oracle ever again.
I've sent n email to AAC. and asked if the new batch will be dimple free. I'll be curios to see what they reply. I have already installed mine as well. If they send me a new set tor place these before I have to send the current ones back, then I'll do it. Down here in Nashville we don't get that many warmer days this time of year. I know it's easy to replace but still time consuming especially in the cold. I'll see what they say when they get back to me.

My experience with a defective sidemarkers for my 2010 SS was i had to return the one prior to them shipping a new one. So I had to re install my OEM ones while AAC checked to see the 1 actually had a few LED's burnt out.
I like this sidemarkers but now I'm questioning should i have waited to order.

If that's the case then I'd recommend any potential buyer to wait for diode dynamics to make theirs in March. From what I've seen. They'll send you replacements with just picture evidence of problems with their products.

I'm thinking I should of waited...

I'm going to wait and see SimMans outcome is.
