Congratulations on a beautiful acquisition. I hope to be joining the club here soon as '17 ZL1 owner, looking for black.
How does the power of this car compare to other top flight muscle cars that you have experienced. I ask because I am just out of a 2016 Z06 that was insanely fast but a torture chamber for me at 6'3". I sat in a new ZL1 (red) at a local dealer and it fit like a glove, more comfortable than my ATS4. |

Thanks everyone!
Going from a 4th gen to the 6th gen is a big jump obviously. The 02 feels like a big motor on 4 wheels while this ZL1 feels like a more integrated and solid automobile. You feel so much more confident (albeit while conservatively breaking in the engine) in whatever you do. I never owned a 5th gen but did test drive a few and this does feel lighter/more responsive from my input. I love the driver modes - great flexibility. The recaro seats are phenomenal as I was worried from reading on here that they might not be comfortable. I picked it up in Kentucky and drove down to Atlanta (6 hours) and had no issues. Not that people buying this really care about such things but the Chevy Mylink is a lot better than the Sync in my F150 - touch screen is fantastic and navigation is awesome. So many tech gadgets that made my wife even love it. Other concern I had was visibility- so far so good. I'm glad they added traffic alert for the sides in addition to the rear camera aid. SuN roof adds some much appreciated light to anot otherwise dark cabin. Again, I'm still breaking it in but I've gotten to about 3500 quickly a few times and it pulls harder than anything I've personally driven to just that range - I also own an 87 monte carlo ss with about 450 hp and have ridden in some other 11 second cars. This points and goes like no other I've been in. Oh, the Rev matching is pretty sweet too. I'm so glad Chevy introduced hyper blue as this is the color I wished they introduce throughout the 5th generation. We only got it on the limited edition hot wheels edition. The color really pops on the ZL1. I almost went with red but had to settle on the blue I always wanted on a Camaro.
