No I haven't reached the break in period yet. Doubt I'll be redlining first hear even when it is broken in. That would only really happen in a drag racing scenario.

As a suggestion, I would get a set of SS wheels and buy All Season tires for those, gotta be cheaper

hmm this kinda worries me... as it is I plan on mine being my daily driver, I have a 60 mile drive one way to work almost entirely highway so that helps. However if the mpg is really that bad I may need to rethink this.

12MPG? I have 1,007 miles (mostly city) and I'm doing 22MPG.
Are you WOT from stop sign to stop sign?

Guy's the MPG we are reporting isn't going to be optimal. Read the break in procedure. Nothing about it is fuel efficient. In fact it discourages use of cruise control and low RPM lugging of the engine. It looks like I'll hit the 1,500 mark in time for my 500 mile drive to Daytona for the Rolex 24 race. I'll use a full tank of fuel on the interstate and I expect I'll at least have 25 mpg likely higher. I'm averaging 13 right and thats with traffic and driving as agressive as the break in allows. Which by the way is slightly better than my 2005 V6 Xterra was in very gentle daily driving scenarios.
Wait for us to break in our cars to get you more accurate MPGs or look at reports from manual SS camaro owners. The SS 1LE has the same engine and gearing so they will be almost identical numbers.

I hardly notice CAGS, so may not bother with the bypass connector. Now, on my 98 C5, it was very noticeable, so had to change that out immediately. I was not sure how I would like the Recaro's since I'm older than most on here, but they are extremely comfortable with very good adjustability. I haven't done any tracking in many years since my Porsche days, but this car has such a good feel, I suspect it will not disappoint. Its been so cold here in North Texas, I'm not getting much chance to continue with the break-in, but am following recommendations, and mainly focusing on varying RPM.

I will add another thought. The seats in the 1LE, feel like they sit lower in the cabin than those of a traditional 1SS/2SS. I LOVE sitting as low as possible in the car and sitting to high was one of my previous gripes in my mustang.
I need to get a skip shift though, I feel my driving habits have to change to work around it and im not a fan of a car telling me how to drive. Its too tough to work around in stop and go for me, whatever, easy and cheap fix. I will say the look of the wheels and brake setup is probably my favorite, so aggressive and sexy.
