Car looks awesome, enjoy!!!

Did you ask the dealer how and where they are doing the wheels for $150? To do it properly they need to strip the wheels back to metal and paint and lacquer properly. Normally closer to $500 than $150. They may be doing you a favor and eating the cost to get a car sale, but worth checking.

If it's not done properly it won't last

Another white car. A '14 Jetta SE 1.8T. Sold it to Vroom.com for $1300 more than the best offer I got from 3 dealers. Jetta is/was a great car. No reason to get rid of it except for I'm an idiot and drove the 1SS and just missed having a V8 in my life. I work from home so mileage and gas mileage won't be a huge issue as I put maybe 8K/mi per year on the car. And I had the $ for the Camaro.

Have some buyer's remorse since I've owned too many cars and this certainly wasn't a need but a lust (doubt I'm the only one...lol).

I almost thought about coming to my senses and keeping my Jetta and killing the deal since I haven't taken delivery yet (wheels are going out Monday). But I won't as once I do something, I follow through and don't believe in wasting people's time. I'm sure I'll love owning it.

They had some young guy in the back.....looked about 14, and he was ready with a paint brush and a jar of black Dupont.

Ahhhh......I jest.

Yes, they send to someplace that does all their wheels. And swear by them. They said what you did. It costs around $500. They said they'd cut it down to $300 for me. I told them meet me 1/2 way and make it $150 and they did.

Yeah, I wouldn't do that black paint either. Save your money for a 500 powdercoat job.....

Do more investigation. Unless he is absorbing 400 or $500, and is prepping the wheels correctly, I can't see this being the case.

In addition, ask them if they are mounting, and then remounting the wheels, and rebalancing. Another $150 charge that they seem to be absorbing.

Taking off the wheels, re-mounting and balancing is $150? Maybe what they would charge that but it surely doesn't cost the dealer that much to do it. More like $20 I bet is their cost.

They added the $150 to the price of the car before bonus cash. They said they send all wheels to this place and they're powder coated. I had the choice between gloss or Matte black. Chose gloss. I trust them. And honestly they may have told it was $800 and they'd knock off $500. And wanted $300. And i offered $150. I can't remember the orig number they stated before the discount. It was 800 or 500. I trust them. If problems I'll go back and knock over their coffee machine.

Congrats, you will love driving the car. Big smile on my face every time I hit the starter button!
The white cars also look good with the grey painted wheels.

Actually Powdercoating wheels is very inexpensive. If the dealer takes the tires off themselves the powdercoating of each wheel is around $50 here in Memphis.

So $200 for the wheels to be done. Thats prepped and everything.
