got my 2LT 6 banger for near $25k
other choices in RWD were limited and the Camaro was the clear winner in bang for your RWD buck....I mean seriously a BRZ is 25K
What are your choices for RWD and a clutch @ $25k?

you saw a good deal and took action.

I went with the v-6 since I will use the car as a daily driver.
and the 6spd standard for fun factor.
the v-8 was way tooo much car for me. I would be smoking tires on every start up.

Not much...the FRS was on the top of my list untill the 6th gen came knocking
New Miata is nice if the 'chick car' stigma doesn't bother you (I could care less myself)

In the end I'm more for sound over power and nothing is worse then having a Fart Can of an Exhaust such as the drivers in their riced out Civics that I see!

I see just about every day a lowered Honda Civic with a high-wing Spoiler and a shitty sounding exhaust that sounds like you've taken a Soda Can smashed to be put near the fork of your BMX Bike for that funny sound we all loved doing back when we were youngsters. I also can't stand the sound of the V6 BMW's and the Porsche's around here unless it's a GTS.
Can you point me to this V6 BMW you can't stand. Yeah....the V8 tambre is just awesome.

I think he's referring to the sound coming from behind the steering wheel around the driver side seat area. Lots and lots of people complain about that issue with BMW's.

With the sh!tshow that I currently have going on I just checked out the possibility of trading in my car for a 2017.

My $38,000 - 6500 mile car is only worth $22,000. What is that a 40% hit in less than a year?

I'd imagine the V8's would hold their value better.

My car was totaled from some lady not paying attention and I came across a 2016 summit white 2016 1LT V6 with a 100 miles on it for $23,000. I would've been dumb to pass it up, but I absolutely love my Camaro, sure people give me shit but I'm 20 and military so it was in my budget and it's my car not theirs and most of my haters don't own a Camaro or any sports/muscle cars

This is why you only lease. CarMax will be loaded soon with really nice Camaro's dirt cheap if you want to purchase. 3 years from now you can pick up a real nice ZL1 for the mid-40s is my plan.

That is a great deal to purchase. Soon we will be seeing the turbo 4s in the teen's at CarMax now that will be a great deal for tuners.

The V6 has plenty of HP, what it lacks is torque. Torque comes natural in a v8. I would like to see Chevy up the torque to lets say at least 310 lbs N.A. It would then be the baddest NA V6 on the road.

The insecurity of some of these posts are absolutely hilarious. Yeah, I have the V6, so what? I got an amazing deal on this 2LT RS, and it's my daily driver. So, I would have rather have more amenities/options, better gas mileage, lower insurance premiums etc. I wanted something that was still sporty, quick, while maintaining realistic running costs.

If this was just a weekend toy, then obviously it would be the SS, ZL1, used Z28, or even a different manufacturer lol. However, this "V8 or nothing" mentality is just ignorant in my opinion. Many, (NOT ALL) of these SS owners will never even take their car to the track or really push it to the limit. So, at the end of the day what's the point really? To say you have an SS?

Buy what makes you happy. I have learned my lesson the hard way multiple times. There's nothing worse than paying for something you despise.

Whether, it's an SS, V6, or a 4 Cylinder turbo-as long as it puts a smile on your face; that's all that really matters

Agreed. Culture is changing..V61lE is helping in that shift. Look at the journalists that picked the v61le over the M2.

Reason for me getting the v61le as a weekend/track toy....because I live in a area that is perfect for it. Mountain roads and 2 local tracks that is perfect for it (limerock & NYST). Most importantly, i'm a young 32 year old teacher with a 5 month old and want a "starter" track/raw driving weekend car.

Don't get me wrong....v8's are sick! But, realistically out of my budget if I want to have fun with it.

I hear you. I am 27, and in a bittersweet way I have had more cars than I would like to admit haha. I could have afforded the SS to be honest, but I didn't want another huge car payment. Especially because I work from home most of the time now, so the car is sitting in the garage most of the day.
