If you have rough issues, it's likely that air is getting passed the maf. Usually this is because someone forgot to connect or tighten one of the 3 hoses connecting to the intake before the TB, likely the sound tube on the bottom.

Also, your ECM has to relearn everything so I would let it idle for a while until it learns the idle and then shut off and turn back on and drive it nice and gentle through the rpms at first before really getting on it.

I was going to say the same thing - sounds like a leak.

I have had this rough idle issue and the feel of the car wanting to turn off when coming to a light because of the low rpm. It was on a previous car I owned that I took to a dealership to get some work done. After I got home I looked to make sure everything was connected and there it was a hose that was not connected. I connected it and added a ziptie to make sure it doesnt come off loose again and bam car ran perfect.

Just ordered mine. Having the Dealer install the intake and relearning the Ecu on the 30th!

that's awful considering you pay more than some of the other intakes, GM has to tune it, and problems already???? hopefully its that sound hose.

it shouldn't take much relearning, considering the flash was done by gm... these are modern computers, not the 70's and 80's era counterparts. our cars sample multiple readings per second and can control a car from spinning out which can take just two seconds, and apply brakes to whichever corner has the slip while still apply abs simultaneously.

getting a CEL 5 miles afterwards, and after a retune BY the dealer?

nahhh, computers adjust on the fly. its 2016.

they'll over and undercompensate for certain conditions, but they fine tune as they go....

When I reflashed my computer it behaved exactly like you would expect a car that had just been turned on for the first time ever. Idle was high longer than normal, throttle was rough and odd behaving. It took a short while for it to return to what everyone would consider "normal". That was with the ECM reflash as being the only change.

It's not days, but it's definitely more than a Flash and immediately go and you'll be fine kind of change.

Can people post what their dealer is quoting/charging them for install? I will be ordering mine in spring and want to make sure my dealer is in the ballpark. I have seen a few numbers on here, but it would help to hear more. I am thinking about installing myself and only going to the dealer for the flash.
