Erratic oil pressure
Does anyone have erratic oil pressure on a cold start ? is it normal ?

Do you see the oil pressure gauge bouncing around or something? Was your car a part of the oil pan/pickup tube recall? I don't notice anything strange on the oil pressure gauge on startup.

Mine does it during all cold starts when its cold out. In the summer, oil pressure is higher than 40 or more, then after the fast idle/warmup it drops to the high 30's as normal. But yeah, now that its cold out mine jumps around a bit too until the warmup high idle is complete then it calms down.
From what I've seen, the key is only people who live in the northern areas and Canada see this because we're starting out cars in the 40s 30's or colder in the morning.
