I haven't really figured that one out yet. It isn't an intake restriction. M6 cars will run it out till 6,300 with no issues. I am leaning towards the exhaust or a TM deal in the motor I can't see yet.
Hmmm..interesting. I'd have to lean towards a TM deal. I saw you had mentioned you had turned it off on the 11.0x passes. Im sure u will figure it out tho.

Engine TM. Not trans TM. The car just falls off hard at 5,700 no matter how much power I make. But the more it makes the harder it falls off. Anything I have done to make more power after the IM/TB has shown great up till there. Then it falls off and really closes the gap back down to the IM/TB numbers by 6-6,200. I would have to see other A8 dyno graphs to see if I see the same thing. Could be the DOD lifters, could be a cam phasing thing. Could be an exhaust restriction. I have raised the allowable TQ in the ECM and TCM up 20% or so since that is what I figure I am making over stock now. I just haven't been back to the dyno. Looking at the g/cyl curve in the logs though, nothing has changed. Same curve.

When I was running DR's on my SC G8Gt I ran more air then most. I had my best 60' of 1.63 with about 22 lbs of air in them. All the other guys were trying to run 16 lbs and weren't 60 footing like mine.

Awesome passes PRAY - and that launch!!!
I need to find a way to get a bit more weight transfer next time out...

DI motors love any fuel that evaporates quickly (E85). Cooling is one thing, but more importantly you are putting all of the fuel directly into the cylinder in a very short period of time and the faster that it vaporizes, the better combustion/power will be. Unfortunately you quickly hit the fuel system flow limit running E85 in a boosted app.

This is also true with Race Fuels, oxygenated fuels run much better in these DI engines. I've tried using some old-school leaded high octane fuel on the dyno with nowhere near the success that I find with an oxygenated fuel like VP MS109 unleaded.

Great work and looking forward to seeing that 10sec NA pass!

Mike, your weight transfers will be a little tougher since you added at least 75 lbs to the front of your car that Pray doesn't have. I think I'll find a similar issue when I get my supercharger installed next week, just too much nose weight compared to Prays, his car really works as mine did and I'm was short the hp he has come up with in his mods. His MPH will always be down as he runs out of power on the big end, but his 60 and 1/8 mile should be pretty stellar.

So you think e98 would work pretty good on a DI motor/this LT1?

I got a place about 1.5 hours form me near Detroit that sells it in 55gal drums. And legit e85 in the drum. Or I can just run pump e85 at a few places within a half hour of my house.

Some guys with non DI in threads on the net I found didn't like it over regular e85 for various reasons I don't feel like typing out lol

Mine does transfer the weight pretty well as you can see and mine is lowered so the springs I run still let the rear tires tuck and the front come up to let the car leave much better then most coupes of today and way better then the previous Gen 5 which I traded in on my gen 6. I've done some reading on the e85 and e98, most think e85 is the max and maybe e85 will work as just as well if not better.

I've seen some good results with FTW E85... It's spendy but for a trailer car it could pick up some decent gains www.jpcracing.com/ftw-racing-fuel-5g-can-purple/

Girly, your car is no slouch leaving, looks pretty awesome and moving on out. You have some serious hp under those pinks stripes. Nice job. I'm still hoping to run e85 or Meth injection for a little extra hp once I get my Maggie installed next week.

Thanks. I'm debating pulleying (not sure how to actually spell it) up to get rid of the meth. My engine has taken serious abuse and I think I'm not ready to build a replacement. Next time out I'm going to try to pull the wheels up
