How much down force is placed in this car at speed?

We don't really know what the ride height was on that car. It could've been lower as every pre-production car shown had perfectly even fender gaps front to rear and the car that ran the "ring" was also pre-production. Otherwise that's a valid point.

The car that went around the Nordschleife was production spec aside from the rollbar, seat, harness and data logger.

Here's the Show-car red coupe at NYIAS 2016...slightly taller front wheel gap, as we're seeing in production cars...

That show car actually does have slightly more gap than others I have seen, but still not as much gap as production cars we've been seeing.
Hawk posted the 2 cars nose to nose. His is the black one and the red is a show car.
Then I tried to find a better pic from the side of a really low pre-production car, but I ran across this silver convertible and put the red production car sitting at pretty much the same angle as comparison.

I have laid off this thread because I am not sure what all the fuss is about but I know that my 13' ZL1 dropped 11MM in the front in the first 5K miles. These cars ship with springs that are super tight and spacer that do not allow the car to compress them until the car goes through dealer prep. My car sits wonderfully now (about 1600 miles) and I expect for it to settle a bit more before it is all said and done.

That's good to hear. I hope you're right. I really liked the lower look of all the show cars I had been seeing and was surprised when all the production cars were showing up with a different stance. If they will settle down to a fairly even fender gap front to rear, I'll be happy with the stock setup.

The only thing with these pics is that they are at different angles. I can't conclude anything from those. We need some actual measurements if we ever seem the red one again.

11mm is not even a half inch. This car needs 1.5".

Lol. I can tell you that if you dropped my car 56mm that I would have real issues so I am not sure I would agree with you. I tracked my Gen5 on a regular basis and I can tell you that there was more than one time I was glad I never adjusted the ride height when I cut a corner a little thin or was overly aggressive on entry.

Here is how it should look. Phastech 1.5 drop springs, great ride and handling. Zl1 sits way to high for the beast it is. TJMO

That's going to be too low for some owners.

Hi everybody...i am new to this form but a forever Camaro guy. About lowering the ZL1, why has no one asked when an after market supplier will make a spindle that will lower the car and retain the factory geometry. I believe this will solve a major problem.
