Sway bar end link failure (lowered)

Right front end link broke while leaving the parking lot at the shop. There is kind of a sharp transition there and I leave at an angle. Heard it pop. Pulled the wheel and there's no fixing it. The end links are a sealed "ball and cup" style with a stud sticking out that mounts on each end.

I did lower the car last week with BMR springs. Might have made a difference? I'm guessing cheap design on these end links. I should have taken a shot of the other end for comparison. What is missing in this photo is the ball ended stud. The nylon bushing inside this boot failed and the ball popped out of the socket.

I had a pair of billet endlinks from BMR on my mustang and they were BEEFY. If you didnt get the torque spec 100% correct they clunked. Time for an upgrade! I doubt they will warranty it now that you have voided the suspension warranty. Shouldnt be too costly though.

When I was installing the front Eibach lowering springs, I found the left sway bar link with the "grease" coming out of the top stud bolt, this due to the retaining spring not holding the rubber seal closed. I installed a new link.

I got a pair I'll sell pretty cheap. I removed my sway bar, so they are just sitting around. Around 200 miles on them.

I would upgrade to adjustables, honestly. Since you're lowered, you're going to want to get the sway bar pre-load correct and the kinematics (geometry) of the sway bar system corrected. Im assuming these two points are off now...
