Whats the process frot going supercharged?
If I decide to supercharge my Camaro, whats the general process?
1. Decide on a blower 2. Decide on a shop 3. Buy the kit and take it to a shop or does the shop with with the seller to obtain the kit and you just pay them the OTD price? Does the installer generally tune the car, or is that another shop after the install? |

You are best off finding a shop who will supply and fit themselves as you are more likely to get warranty support that way. The blower will come with a tune which will be the one covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If you want more power you can ask the shop about a custom tune but then you will be relying on the shop to sort out any problems so you are best off asking them what level of support they offer.
You should probably decide on a shop first and then talk to them about your goals and what they can offer. |

Epx998,
I'll share with you my experience and what I have learned... #1. Research the heck out of what you want. Decide if you want a procharger or a PSD. I chose PSD because its less maintenance and in my opinion looks better. Both have their positives and negatives. It depends on your driving style and want you want. I chose the PSD. #2 Research your shops! I looked at all the local ones here, read up on facebook, the forums, and google searches. See what people are saying. Then email the shops. The ones that take the time to talk to you about what you are wanting vs. the ones that just give you a price. Then go talk to them in person. I went to 2 shops in person, both were good, but 1 shop talked crap about PSD's and only pushed prochargers. The other shop didnt talk down about either one. #3. I purchased my supercharger from a supporting vendor here on the forum. A really good shop wont give you crap if you buy or dont buy it from them. Andy is right though, if there are issues with the supercharger itself you will find yourself being the middle man trying to get things replaced\fixed. I personally didnt mind, and saved about $1k. The shop said other than any potentials with the SC (missing parts, damaged parts, etc) they didn't care. Both Maggie and E-Forces are repetuable places. If something is wrong they will fix it. No issues here, and happy with my purchase. If you want more info just PM me. It is a big decision, its a big investment, but the payoff is worth it!

I took advantage of Magnachargers Black Friday sale. I talked with Mike (toohighpsi) about different setups and he's been very helpful. I'll do some of the install with a buddy of mine who is a GM tech and a big gear head who has lots of experience with FI trucks and cars. I'm currently waiting for mine to be built and delivered which should be this week and I'll probably do the install the next weekend. Decide on how much HP you want to make also. I'm a Magnuson fan as I had one on my SC G8GT which I put over 25000 miles on with absolutely no issues and still got over 20 mpg and 11.80's all day long with drag radials.
