Theres no way I could do it in my garage. We have RPM here in richmond... but I've heard they have some shotty work and they charge an arm and a leg... If DTP is good quality I'm willing to pay for it.

It'd be a good idea to find a shop to provide more info. I knew about what I wanted and my goals, and my shop did the ground work on speccing everything and figuring out what else we needed.

bybcous and I both have threads over our builds here on the site that could also provide some info, but both of us did more than just cam.

Yeah I want to start with Cam, I'm reading up its looking like I should get lifters while I'm at it. But otherwise I don't want to go further than that for now. Maybe pistons just to make my motor more durable and the whole thing will be ripped apart for my cam anyhow.

I really do plan on keeping this car NA. I hate the maintenance that comes with FI and I hate dialing in a tune constantly

Not a bad idea for the pistons if you eventually want to go that far, but it's not necessary until I believe about 650+ at the wheels, and even then I've seen some people say upwards of 800 so I'd say even at 650 it may not be necessary. Lifters I'd say yes, since I did them as well, but the money for pistons could probably be better spent elsewhere for cam only.

I had no problems with my install. I will contact the owner and get you a quote for just a cam install. I did cam install, headers, msd intake, and cai which was all priced in.

You also need to buy more than cam and lifters to do a cam swap, you also need cam phaser kit, dod delete kit, new pushrods is up to you, new head bolts since the heads have to be removed.

That actually makes it a bit easier. You can go more aggressive and not have to worry about the torque converter like in an auto.

2375 install, he normally charges 500 for a tune also. I have a auto so I didn't go aggressive with my cam at all, it's a small cam, really small, close to stock and i made 500 hp. About 40 hp alone from cam.
