JANNETTY RACING GEN6 POWER PACKAGES Q&A

Jannetty Racing offers bolt on power packages complete with an SCT tuner and custom tune for a plug and play power solution.

We have spent the last year testing aftermarket parts and continue to do so as they become available.

We have the data, we know what works, and how well.

We have the tuning to go along with each part or package.

We have selected parts for our power packages based on all of the testing we have done behind the scenes and publically.

Feel free to ask any questions here and check out our website for updates, we have a few of the proven power packages listed and will be adding more as time goes on.

For example;

Cold air kit and an SCT tuner with a custom tune.

LT headers, SCT tuner with a custom tune.

Cold air kit, LT headers, with a custom tune.

Cold air kit, LT headers, exhaust with a custom tune.

Supercharger, SCT tuner with a custom tune.

Supercharger Stage 2 pulley belt SCT Tuner with a custom tune.

Supercharger Stage 3 pulley belt SCT Tuner with a custom tune.

Add Headers and or exhaust to any of these.

These are just some examples we can mix and match any of these.

Post your questions here.

Ted.

Do you have dyno charts for the LT1 packages that you could post? I know these include a tune from you do they include data logging and tune revisions?

With the amount of testing and tuning I have done I am sure I have them but would have to dig them up.

Which package were you interested in.

All tune packages include data logging review and revisions until perfect.

Auto or Manual?

Tuning changes how fast you can get to the available power, turns off AFM Skip shift, raises speed limiters and rev limiters, improves shifts, gets rid of annoying codes caused by aftermarket parts.

I am not going to blow smoke and tell you there is 15 RWHP in the tune because there is NOT, I see the advertisements and I just shake my head.

You can find some power by taking away the knock protection but I am not willing to do that.

If you want any substantial power gain start with Header exhaust combo and a tune for an honest 25 RWHP 25 RWTQ.

The CAIs currently are struggling to make any power over the Very good Factory Air box, 6 is the most we have seen to date with the Rotofab and dry filter.

What is the difference in performance between these 2 packages - A8?

Cold air kit, LT headers, with a custom tune.

Cold air kit, LT headers, exhaust with a custom tune.

Thank you

The ARH Exhaust is worth 10 RWHP over the stock exhaust both with LT headers and High flow cats.

Quote from my testing,
Quote:
Exhaust is worth 10 RWHP 10 RWTQ at peaks and as much as 18 RWTQ in areas.

Hi Ted,

I'm thinking of a ported throttle body and full Stainless Works system (headers to tail pipes) A8, non-NPP version. With tuning out the AFM, I can do the AFM valve delete option correct? Or do you think it would be wiser to get the exhaust with the AFM valves?

Also, would it be worth it to add a RotoFab intake to the list of add-ons? 6HP for roughly $350 doesn't really seem worth it to me. I wouldn't think it would add much to the sound either with those headers and exhaust. Thoughts?

Could you please PM me how much you'd charge for the parts and shipment to 46163? I want to know how much I'm going to need to set aside for my upgrades

Thanks so much... looking forward to another Camaro tune via Jannetty Racing.

Darth,

If you choose to eliminate the AFM valves you can with our modules. They will work whether AFM is disabled in the ECM or not. I've been running them on my Camaro without a single issue with AFM enabled in the ECM.

I don't want to step on Ted's toes here. Just wanted to clarify the AFM piece. There is zero performance advantage to the AFM valves and the provisions can be pretty expensive.

What kind of gains to be expected with: CAI, intake, LTT headers using factory NPP? Tuned, of course.

If it's any thing less than 100Hp, then it's just snake oil and not worth much.

TEST 6 STOCK vs ARH 1 7/8 LT W CATS TO STOCK MUFFLER, MSD ATOMIC AND ROTOFAB DRY. 460 RWHP 446 RWTQ

Peak to Peak gains 31 RWHP 11 RWTQ

Delta gains +46 RWHP +31 RWTQ

Hello Darth,

I can turn off AFM in the tune but that does not solve the problem of removing the valves and causing a check engine light I can not turn off..

EFI Tuning has plug in modules that will fool the fuel pump control module into thinking the valves are in place, we are offing those modules as part of our packages when a customer wants to remove the valves.

I bought a 2.6 HP engine for 699.00, so don't feel bad about 6 HP for 399.00.

Yes I know it is hard to move from being spoiled by the Gen5 but it is still HP at the end of the day and HP cost money.

It is not like you can purchase 6 HP for any less with any other product, this car comes with more HP from the factory so it is harder to find HP and just cost more per HP.

Same with the exhaust, we used to get 28 RWHP and 28 RWTQ from LT headers and high flow cats, now we get 15-15 for the same mod.

To get 25-25 you need to do LT headers high flow cats, and a full exhaust at least to the stock muffler, the pipes are pretty bad on this car so we get response from it where we didn't with the Gen5.

For pricing and options please call the shop or email tedj@jannettyracing.com for a proper estimate.

Thank you for your business.

Ted.
