Camaro redline in auto

My camaro 2016 v6 I have put it on redline on manual mode by mistake like 2 times. But today in auto it reached redline for less than a second and it stalled then it changed. I know I'm always pushing my car hard but this not supposed to happen, should I take it to the dealer.

sounds like a torque converter issue. Take it in.

One time I swore I was in auto mode and floored it on the on ramp and it went to redline in 1st and didn't shift into second. I let off immediately and shifted it manually. But I was 99% sure it was in automode before I left. I never made that mistake before , but I did have my son in the car, so maybe he bumped the shifter over.
