Picked up my 2016 SS A8, NPP, MRC convertible on Oct 27th. Sticker was $54,455 and I ended up paying $38,850 plus tax and tag. I had $1350 in GM money and the rest was 20% GM discount and the dealer discount. I did the same with my 2014 SS but realized when I sold it in early November that they do depreciate very quickly. I'm hoping to pick up a ZL1 in a couple of years with the same discounts. Really enjoying the 2016 SS and already have 3K miles on it.

Some of you got some pretty good deals on the 50th. I managed about 5% off sticker and got my trade in up a decent bit from average - when I pulled the trigger.
Honestly - I would have handed them the cheque no matter what the final price was.

Ask for the costco pricing.

That's a good price. If you can do better great. If not you got all the right options on it.

Costco price is Supplier Pricing. It is cold up there and will only get colder for the next few months which is not the prime time for convertibles. If they keep it in inventory for the next few months that is a lot of interest to be paid keep it on their floor plan. If you really want the car, walk in with a check with what you want to pay. If they say NO, walk out. Most dealers do not want real money to walk out the door.

Hello,
In my view, it's worth getting what you want even if others get better deals (or claim to) but as long as it is something less than list price you are doing better than others might have regardless. I love my vert. The back seats are larger than any trunk space on the MX5. Do get the wind deflector. It's pricey, yes, but super well worth it. I can roll down the highway with the top down and widows up and chat on the car's phone. People can even hear me rather well they claim. My old ears hear them fine as well. Post some pictures when you get it. Be of good cheer. Kindest, Donner |

Dealers in my area aren't moving on price which is why I'm not buying and trying to find any Left-over 2016s 1SS impossible here in the Phila., PA area .... there were a few but those must have been sold and are long gone now ...

Dont buy, wait and save over $10K in less than 6 months. Domestic car prices drop like a dead quail after new sales. Many of those 20% cars will be back in the market with low miles and warranty left. Good for you guys who bought your cars new but $40 to 50K for a Camaro is too much imo simply because of the depreciation rate and the actual value of these street mass production cars.
I know many will say " I dont care, I get what I want and I afford it" but pouring your money into deep pockets of these dealers are not that smart. Just because someone affords something is not enough reason. Unless you are thinking you're running out of time it's a no brainer to hold on buying these new cars at these crazy prices. |
