This is what's commonly referred to as "stupidly determined" among diehard car people.

As in, it's cold as "munkey nuts" outside, but I really want to get it installed...

Good stuff. The install is way super easy. I only needed to jack up the rear drivers side, and it was enough to to fit my 375lb samoan body up under.

I reccomend the pipe cutter that looks like a pair of pliers connected to a chain of discs. Cut so quick! Autozone rents em for 50$ which ypu get back upon return. You'll enjoy come sunday!

Def was worth it, and worth the wait. I've always been a magnaflow guy, since I first started modding cars. Following team corvette the last few years and meeting Dan Binks...I started to be curious about Borla. Def a well decent setup!

appreciate it. apologies with the wind here. its been about 9-16 miles per hour since yesterday morning. not dying down today either.

I will say though, those who got the ATAK, if that's supposed to be louder than the s-type...,

you shouldn't be disappointed.

Thanks for the info and clips! It's really tough to judge how loud it is compared to stock though from the clips... Would you mind describing it a bit more? Cold, cruise, and WOT, as compared to stock? I'm stuck between the GM Perf exhaust (which is made by Borla) or this one, and just can't decide...

as of today, I can attest, it gets pretty loud when you push the car. was at capital raceway a few weeks ago and all was basically the same, and I ran 14.168 at 102mph.

after the install of these, which was the only thing changed since last time, and the temp was 5 degrees cooler... I started with a 13.746 @ 102.57. when in sport mode, after you pass the end lights, once you start to brake, in sport mode, the car downshifts, but keeps the revs at around 3500-5000 rpms.....

IT.....SOUNDS......SEXY! <---yes I just said that.

by the end of the day I erked out a 13.534 at 103.94, but I did also run a 13.548 at 104.08. highest trap speed. so take what you want for that about its performance addition. that's the ONLY thing I;ve changed since last track day and it was the same location. I'm sure some of it was the lack of tools I had in the trunk, but 100lbs = .10 (a tenth), the car is consistently about .6 quicker after 18 runs today.

***side note, I'm getting a friends rear exhaust to cut it open. I'm suspecting its gonna be a bit more restrictive than that V8 counterpart. mainly because its a v6 and the v8 cars, being assumed the bigger performance car, will have a less restrictive exhaust in stock form.

at cold, its noticeable...not annoying to your neighbors, but you know something is not stock.

at Cruise, you get that exhaust pulse sound with windows down or sunroof cracked/open. no drone though. nothing interior wise vibrates at all. a convo inside will trump the exhaust while windows are closed.

Now WOT, that's when it wakes up. theres a group of us that went today, and granted I hate this cliché, but when I ran, some were like, "its almost like a V8". I know the car isn't a v8, so I would never compare it in that manner, but its a deep throaty "there with a purpose" sound.

Also in the city, echoing off, building walls and such, everyone looks up like, "WTF, what is that?!"....mostly in a good way, unless I accidentally scared someone.

none. I cant find an rpm where its at. mind you i'm coming from a LFX 5th gen that I ran the MagnaFlow 15090 straight pipe exhaust setup with 5 inch tips. I learned for sure (You Gon' learn today!!!!!) what drone is with that. had to add 4 inch round 10416 mufflers on the axleback section and that didn't eliminate it all. but it is a performance-ONLY minded exhaust.
