Looks like I have the dreaded TQ Issue...need advice

My new 2SS vert only has 449 miles on it, but this morning I felt sputtering on my way to work intermittently. I then get an OnStar email saying

"An issue with the engine and transmission system in your 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible has been detected. Please service your vehicle within 1 day."

Reading through the posts here, I'm pretty sure the issue is the torque converter (TQ). Sounds dead-on to what other people have been experienced when they had a faulty TQ that had to be replaced.

Well, the dealership is booked until Tuesday. My sister's in town and our plan this weekend was to take a road-trip to DC. Now my question...is the road-trip in the Camaro a "no-go". Is this issue so serious that I need to park my Camaro in the garage and leave it there until I can drive it to the dealership Tuesday? Or, since the problem is barely noticeable, can I continue on this road trip as planned?

Timing couldn't be more perfect

I know this is not what you wanna hear, but I would park it. If you can afford it, go rent a fun car and still do the trip.

Also, you may call them and ask them if its ok to drive. If they say no, them ask them if you can bring it in now and put you in a loaner.

Interesting, now I'm not noticing the sputtering when driving (but the engine light is still on). I'm going to just lightly drive it around town until my appointment, and I'll take a different car to DC...as much as I hate to do so.

Just last night my sister and I were sitting in the Camaro talking about how advanced the car was. Kind of embarrassing that I'll have to explain we can't take it on our road trip tomorrow because at 450 miles it's 'sputtering'.

Mine was doing this severely and I was given the car back to drive until they received the fluid to flush my transmission with. It was about a week. Flushing everything three full times and refilling with new fluid seemed to fix the problem about 90%. I still experience some shimmy and vibration so I can expect a TC replacement. I just need to find the time to get the car there...

Car is now at the dealership. I relayed the issues I was having to them, and that there is a "check-engine" light on. One of them happened to mention sometimes a computer reprogram can fix the issue. Not sure if that's the case as I suspect the torque converter, but I'll keep you guys posted when I find out what the issue is and what the solution was.

Dealership called. They said the issue was with a wiring harness (something to do with the cam?) in the engine bay. They've replaced the harness and will have it to me shortly.

First the rear end now the torque converter. Really makes me apprehensive about moding my car before the warrantee ends. Who knows what "problem" will appear as we put on miles. Chevys response is just "opps our bad". SMH!
