2016 Camaro SS Dyno (Roto-Fab)

Let me start off by saying I'm not making this thread to pound my chest or to claim that I got a factory freak. With the technology now a days I know that every car is pretty much built exactly to spec. I went to the dyno yesterday with Rudy_1ss to dyno our Camaros before we started to do real mods. All I have on the car is a Roto-Fab with oiled filter. As you can see in Rudy's thread his car has the Roto-Fab just like me, but in addition he has a Ported Throttle Body and Secondary Cat Deletes and he put down 419/417 which was expected. After he rolled his car off I rolled mine on and was expecting to make 410 in that area.... To my surprise the car made much more... see dyno below... I know most won't believe it and quite frankly I don't either, even the tuner couldn't explain it but it is what it is. Both cars are 6 speed manual, same dyno, same night, same amount of cool down time before hitting the rollers. @Rudy_1ss can vouch that all I have is a roto-fab we have been best friends since birth and we always mod our cars together. I truly have no explanation for this but... #ChevyPower

Oh and as a side note for more comparison, I dynoed my 2016 5.0 with intake e85 tune, hpipe and catback and it made 428 on this same dyno

Different Dynos will read differently. On JREs Superfolow dyno my stock M6 SS made about the same as yours. If true amazing. The Rotofab is worth about 6 RWHP.

Test 1 2016 Camaro SS LT-1 M6 STOCK 7600 miles on Odometer running Mobil 93 octane. 429 RWHP 436 RWTQ

My question to you is which car is faster?

It's the same dyno for both cars. Awesome numbers. My rotofab gets here tomorrow.

The cars were both dynoed on the same dyno, same night, back to back. We haven't raced yet and being that both cars are manual I feel even if we did it wouldn't be a accurate representation due to the possibility of one driver being better than the other or pure driver error in that run. We will get some runs in soon to see the results but I don't think it will be indicative of anything.

Happen to have the Air Fuel ratio graph of both cars? Any logs during the dyno runs?

Yes agreed. Take both to the track and drive them both and see which one wins. That would be a very cool VS thread. The real world beats any dyno numbers IMO. I might put my $$ on the GT, but hope for the SS. You take driver error out of the equation owning and driving both cars. Which one do you like more?

oh sorry I must have not been clear in my original post, I no longer own the 5.0 I traded it in for the SS but it was dynoed at the same shop on the same dyno before I sold it. And I have raced plenty of 5.0s with the same or more mods than I had on mine and beat them in my SS with ease. The lighter weight and torque of these cars is what makes them so much better. I have a channel on youtube where you can see my runs if you wish. "MaroBros Productions" The vids that say "M6" are my car the ones that say "A8" are another friend with a auto SS.

I will check those out. And since you traded you answered my which one do you like better question.

Also can you link one of those videos? I can't find your videos. All I get is Super Mario Bros.

EFI-tuning noted on his primary cat deletes there was knock retard, I have not seen any on my M6 with primary cat deletes. If you have data log I'd log the knock sensors.

Mine goes nuts at certain spots in the lower RPMs. Quick ECM fix.

my local dynojet does about 404 HP SAE for a SS. Your numbers look strange only in relation to your buddies numbers same dyno same day same trans.
