I was really into the Kalahari in my SS when I first bought the car. In the following months of ownership I've greatly cooled off on it.
It's a nice color option. But knowing what I know now, I'd stay with black. |

Me too. Kalahari is my top pick, and may even influence the exterior color choice. Curious what is prompting the change.

It was loud enough for me when I was at the dealer and on my test drive...not so much in the real world. But I recently heard npp with no secondary car and that is pretty awsome. I still prefer not muffler, but it is a close second.

That car would be sharp. I would make sure you sit in one with a sunroof first and make sure you fit comfortably

The sunroof debate will always be a hot topic, but here are the facts:
- You get about 1" of extra head room without the sunroof, which you'll need if you ever want to track the car since you'll be wearing a helmet. - You get the cool roof lines without the sunroof, which also aid in aero. - You get extra weight added to your top of your car, raising your center of gravity with a sunroof. If you don't care about the above, get the sunroof. I personally think the car looks 100x's better with those roof lines, it's better to not have it for performance, and it saves you some $ by skipping.

I would add that using a sunroof the way it is normally used probably increases your lifetime melanoma risk by 10-100x. That will vary with skin type. But people tend to use sunroofs without having applied sunscreen. |

I've had the car for almost 7 months and have ~1600 miles on it, it's clean as a steamed chrome whistle.
It's just that I've cooled on the color, not at all that Kalahari is bad. Just a subjective thing, I guess. Do I "regret" the Kalahari? No, not at all, it looks great. I think that I might maybe like black better. I think I'm busy second-guessing myself for no reason. One thing that I do 100% regret is getting the sunroof. I'm 6'5" and would love another 1" or so extra headroom. |

Sunroof is a consideration really for resale. Myself- I don't really use them. I had one on my turbo Regal I leased and honestly only had it open a few times. Still debating, the rest of the car is the way I want it. I had a 1994 Trans Am GT in dark red with tan interior (and T Tops!!). Loved it. I see this car as the succesor to that. Had a GTO also....

Sunroof is something I love and something the Mustang doesn't offer.
Glad it's an option but at 5'7" head room isn't a huge issue. I do have a 6'10" buddy though |
