Put on a new Fram Ultra Synthetic XG10575 filter and 6 qts of Penzoil Platinum 5W-30. When I filled up the 5qt jug with the old oil, I seemed to only have about 5 1/4 qts. Assuming the rest is still in the filter, oil catch and lining the engine.
It's probably the assembly lube stuff working it's self out

I changed the oil on my SS at 500 miles and it looked and smelled nasty. Apparently liquids from the engine's assembly get into the oil and funky it up. Glad I was picky and did the early change.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Removed the front licensed plate bracket and filled the two holes with some plastic plugs. Can't EASILY see them. FAR better look than the darned factory bracket.

Stow n Show bracket on the way.

Sorry. Didn't notice your post.

They ride fine, a little noise, but not terrible. Still babying the car with break in. As of 12/1 I have all of 700 miles on it. So not a lot of data available.

May be in the garage for a few weeks as we have an Arctic front headed south with cold and snow, supposed to be -12° in a few days.
