That is beautiful! I am highly biased. The only difference with mine is the river city bow ties. Mine are black without the red outline. My 2SS is a fantastic daily driver. I have a couple of planned upgrades. A performance intake manifold, ported throttle body and cold air induction and the Borla ATTK exhaust professionally installed with a custom tune by a credible performance shop.

Sounds great and loud lol. The bow ties are great and really change it up. I just did ceramic coating on the paint but have not did any performance yet except for the 20 hp from the bow tie upgrade

I'd say the only downgrade is on the inside of the car. The interior of the Hellcat is leaps and bounds better. Yes mine is a 1SS, but it still kicks the 2SS's interiors ass.

While I may have gone down in hp, the hp to weight ratio improved

Yeah that's what I meant, haha. Sounds like a great car!

Always been an import guy but always wished that Detroit offered a real option in a sports coupe. With this and the Mustang they finally do. I probably would have just traded up if Genesis hadn't scrapped the coupe. I like it a lot, get 400 horse with tune, and it's fun. But I'm missing modern options and nobody does custom work on a gc. So I went looking for alternatives and it's hard to beat the '17 SS 1Le. 10 years ago I'd have been fine without a sun roof but it wasn't optional in the gc track model. So now I really like having one (probably would already be in a Bullit Mustang otherwise...) I'm probably going to end up in a 2SS but I'm waiting to be able to see the 1Le before I pull the trigger.

I've primarily been an import guy, but always wanted to buy american.
I took my car in for hail repair and was given a Red hot Gen5 v6 'vert as my rental. I need two carseats for my kids and was practically begging them to get me something else, but figured I'd see how it went since I had never driven a convertible. Car seats fit perfectly and my 3yo couldn't believe what i cool car I was picking him up in. It turned out to be totally livable but i still wasn't really considering it for my next vehicle.

The decision came down to buying a Golf R or leasing an M3, but in some random turn of fate when I went to start up the deal(get trade-in/approval etc) for the Golf R my sales guy wasn't in and everybody at that VW dealership was really reluctant to work with me since i had been talking to somebody already. It was weird but whatever. Since they didn't want to even give me a value on my trade or run numbers I figured I'd go next door to chevy just to get the value of my trade. I was really upfont with the sales guy and was like... "just want to get a ballpark on my trade" and "no, not really interested in much, maaaaybe i'd be interested in looking at a convertible"

They showed me a v6 1lt gen6 with 20% off and the rest is history. Its just as fast as the Golf R and after I had them put katzkin and tint the windows and ordered some 5spoke split wheels and I'm still like 8-9k ahead. I should've got the v8 but I couldn't walk away from the deal I got.

I am REALLY waiting on aftermarket for the v6... doesn't have to even be all that strong, I just need some FI and I'll be a REALLY happy camper for a couple of years

All in all, I'm a self proclaimed car guy and am pretty impressed with the Gen6 as a whole, and the hard tonneau gives the 'vert a really upscale appearance. Its probably my favorite car I have owned.

Previous cars:
1.8 i4; VW Jetta (owned for 3 years)
2.6t i4; Mitsubishi Starion(still own)
3.0 i6; BMW 330i (owned for 6years)
5.0 v10; BMW M5 (owned for 3 years)
1.8 i4; Lexus CT 200h (owned for 1.5 years)
5.0 v8; Range Rover (still own)

TL;DR
Big import fan that was never really happy with domestics was finally converted by the Gen6 and I love it

I celebrated my 40th birthday in August this year. I told my wife earlier in the year that I was going to buy a sports car for my 40th birthday. I needed something with 4 seats (because of the kids when they get older), had to be a 2-door and of course it had to be a V8. I was going back and forth between the Dodge Challenger SRT and the Camaro SS. When I was able to get the deal that I got on my 2SS, I jumped on it and I have never regretted it. I was only able to spend about a month with my car and during that time I was focused on getting all the modifications done before the colder weather hit up here in NY and I had to put it away for the winter. I'm looking forward towards Spring 2017 to enjoy the car next year.

This is my third Camaro since 12/2009. 2010 1LTRS, 2011 2SSRS and now this 2016.
I thought my 2011 SS was my last. I added the MyLink with Nav/backup camera, lowered, cammed with BTR Stage II, headers, ROHANA RC10's, you name it, it had it. Loved that car!
I didn't car for the Six with I first saw it. I thought it was the car as the fifth gen from the sides and not really sold on the front and rear. Looking at some of the prototypes I thought some of the features looked cheap but I kept being told to look at the actual car that's in the showrooms and drive one. Well I did on June 28th and I drove it home. I've really enjoyed this purchase. Every time I get behind the wheel I just feel so good and get so much enjoyment out of it. The tech, the power, the comfort and the compliments and looks the car gets is really something. I'm still in the break-in period and have yet to really put it through it's paces but god I've wanted to and it's begging me to put my foot through the firewall. I'm just hit 950 miles and with the weather turning, I've put the car away for the winter.
All I can say is, Chevy hit the ball out the park with this Camaro. Now to make it mine with personalization's.

Thank you Sir! Yes, I put a lot of coin in the fifth gen and I loved it while I had it. I haven't seen it since the 28th of June but everyone else in Indy has and they say it now looks like $hyt and sounds the same! I'm glad I haven't and don't want to.

I moved on when I walked away and it's all good in my neighborhood! I'm looking forward to getting it back on the road next March and out on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track in May for laps. Should be a totally new experience in this car compared to the last two the I tracked there, and I'll be done with my break-in by then as well.

1. I wanted something faster than my 14 Impala to make the drive more fun.
2. I always wanted a Camaro (1st, 3rd, and 4th gens are my favorite)

Getting 20% off on one was just an added bonus

1). To save money from two car payments down to one
2). To pick up straightline performance over my old 911
3). To not be afraid of repair bills
4). To have a fun car that I could daily drive without losing performance.
5). Parts are so cheap with Chevrolet
6). Always wanted to build up a small block V8
7). GHG regulations starting in 2018 will end V8's as we know them. Better to get them now.
8). My grandfather had a '67 Camaro and it's nice to follow in his footsteps.

I bought a 2013 jeep wrangler 4 door and within 2 weeks realized I made a horrible mistake so started looking at sports cars and I fell in love with the camaro at first sight and picked one up 3 months ago after owning the jeep for 2 months.... my bank was very confused by my choices hahaha

Didn't really have any plans to upgrade yet, but came home with a 2017 anyway.
Traded our 2011 2SS Convertible on this new 2SS Coupe yesterday.

This new one beats the the '11 in every way.
Much more comfortable to drive, and after almost 5 years of driving the '11 it was just time.

This is our 4th Camaro (1969, 1975, 2011, 2017)
