Question on Borla NPP Systems

So I've decided I'm going to go with a Borla system for my car. Struggling between the S-Type or Atak so I've been watching their promotional video religiously.

My question is in regards to the Atak System in their video. Is that JUST the Axle-back making that noise or is that sound coming from the X-Pipe setup they offer as well? I love the sound it makes on decel so if that's the route I go, I want to make sure that's the sound I get when I spend almost $2000 on the system before Labor and shipping.

Link to video.

Is this for V8 6 speed only? No V6?

My preference would be S-Type as it has smoother (and loud enough) roar to it, ATak sounds more harsh.

from my understanding it's just from the Cat back... I'm planning on ordering the S-type as well for my V6...but they told me it would not be available for about a month...

I have the s type and love the sound. Bad news is they create a small vibration when the car is in v4 mode and under load. I sent it back to gm because I thought the torque converter was shuttering but they just asked me to put the stock exhaust back on first. I thought they were nuts but sure enough' stock exhaust, no vibration.

I had the Atak on my 5th gen and when people were standing behind the car they would literally jump when I started the car up. If you want something that sounds bad-ass then go with the Atak!!! This is what I will be putting on my ZL1 next year!

Keep in mind, the system used in the promotional video keeps the secondary cats in place (The delete system is not road legal in CA). I personally have the S-Type Catback with secondary cat delete option (louder than what the video portrays) and the comments I often get are " that exhaust sounds perfect", "great tone and just the right amount of volume". The neighbor also complains that my car wakes them on cold starts etc..

I decided against the ATAK because I didnt want to chance any Rasp or hollow sound for the gain of a couple decibels. Still very happy with the S-Type, it fits our cars perfectly. No drone, great deep tone, and very aggressive only when you want it to be.

*Interior sound level is deceiving, these cars are so well dampened that I have to put the back seats down to remind myself there is an aftermarket system installed. In actuality, I just got use to the sound and forgot exactly how the NPP sounded. But make no mistake, this is a loud but high quality system that fits the bill!
