Black key limits the Hellcat to 500hp. Valet mode limits to 300hp. You have a password to get in and out of valet mode. (I own one)

when dropping car off at Valet or dealer I ALWAYS take a photo of the Odometer. If they are test driving your vehicle for no reason then hold them accountable by going straight to the service manager. Valet should have any miles on car. Phones have great cameras, use them

If I could I'd program a valet mode that limits RPM to 2000 and top speed to 10 MPH.

Hand the keys over and em cry lol

I'll take a camera over valet mode anyday.. My camera shows ALL of that and the speed it was going. Valet boss or service manager at dealer would have a lot of explaining to do..

That's why it is always a good idea to take a picture of the mileage and then turn on valet mode.

Now if they were replacing the brakes, I definitely would want them to road test the vehicle...

On my WRX's COBB Accessport there is a valet map that sets the rev limiter at 3000 rpm.. maybe there is something similar that can be used for the Camaro?

The last thing I want to do is turn over the keys to a joyride-type car and let someone drive it unsupervised.

I don't know how to put a youtube video here. But this seems very fitting.

We just picked up a 16 Malibu 2LZ yesterday. It has the "teen driving" mode that I think the 17 Camaro will get. It does not limit the car's acceleration in any way, but it records everything and will chime and warn the driver if they disobey the speed limits you set. It will also record aggressive stops, automatic braking from the collision system, aggressive acceleration, and a few others. You get a report card that you can view at the end.

All mechanical repairs require a test drive.

I used to have an STI and that was a great ability the COBB AP gave. I don't know if the handheld tuners for the Camaro have the same feature, but the problem is that you'll likely lose warranty coverage if you reflash the computer. I really wish there was an RPM limiting Valet drive mode on these cars.
