Mods and expectations for 2017.

Just thought I'd get some responses from drag racers to see what their mods will be for 2017 and how fast they plan to go.
My mods will be
1. E85 and expect to go 11.50's
2. NOS and hope to see 10.50's
3. Might do some weight reductions also.

I plan on removing the secondary cats, getting a cold air intake, msd intake manifold, and e85. Hoping for 10's next year with a different dr and skinnies.

I plan to purchase Welds, Drag Radials and a line lock. Hoping to run high 10's or low 11's here at 4500 ft with my mods and the afore mentioned items.

Now we are talking, it took a lot of mods to get Gen 5's in the 11's. Less mods to get out gen 6's in the 10's.

short term. back to pump gas, twins, max out stock fuel system, 18" drag radials and see what that gets me.

long term. upgrade entire fuel system and add port injection, switch back to e85, turn it up(way up). fix what breaks.

Have you considered the Race Stars wheels? I really like mine and the price is right I think. I save 100 lbs compared to my street setup.

Just a thought, with E85 you will probably want to get a dedicated fuel supply for your nitrous system. I say that because supplying 100+hp of E85 on top of what you'll already be burning might be too much to ask of the stock fuel system (tapping into the rail). I'm guessing you'll be ~430rwhp on motor in this scenario, where 'motor' includes a CAI, tune, and E85.

I agree with you on the fuel supply, my rwhp was 395 and about 430 should be just right and I'll probably spray on 75-100 shot. I will buy a 55 gallon drum of e85. I read the thread with Ted on tuning and I'll just have to see what the flex fuel does first and decide what to do from there. A buddy of mine just installed his P1 and we are going to dyno it today. So my plans could change in the future.

if your talking to me yes i have considered them. i am all over the place with wheels and tires, there are so many options.

dr's for the 20's
17's or 18's with dr's, i like 18's a little better because of some options for tire height
go strait for the brake set up that lets you run 15's and run some 295/55/15 dr's.

I'm running the 28x10-17s on 17x9.5 Race stars rear and they hook great. They can handle lots more power then I have right now. Then I have the 17x4.5 up front with 27.5 hoosier front runners. 1LE also mentioned Welds.

Short term,

E85
DR's
See how close I can get to 10's.

Then possibly headers to get into the 10's with bolt ons if needed.

The LT4 blower will go on most likely before the headers with pump gas. Shooting for 600/630+rw.

Looking for mid to low 10's on blower with Race Star drag pack on pump gas.

Then fuel, headers, and back on E85 and shooting for 9's in my daily.
