I had it on accidentally once when I first got the car and I didn't like it. I'll try it again. I've had so many manuals over the years and this car is the best manual I've ever had. My husband's infinity has this weird short clutch and I hate it, but the Camaro is so smooth on it's own. I love it without, but I'll try the rev match next time I take her out.

Yeah I didn't like it at first either. Now I don't drive without turning it on.

Smooth as butter.

Yeah it's a feature that I'm glad came over to the Camaro from the vettes.

I ALMOST bought a white C7 before deciding to buy a daily driver and park the Camaro (at the time a 5th gen) back in March last year. Local dealer had it used with 1800 miles. Was 2014 c7 with all the options I would've wanted on it.

Yep but I think I made the better choice. I don't have kids but I use the the back seat a few times a month. Usually my g/f sits back there as she is small. I wouldn't be able to drive it nearly as much if it was a C7.

As much as I like black cars there is something about white with the C7 that makes it stand out. That would have been my color choice too.

Yeah in the long run I feel I made the better choice as well.

And yes the C7 looks amazing in white. Just ask Becky.

How's the weather out there?

I went driving some yesterday. It's 65 here during the day 40s at night.

It's starting to get chilly here. We are dipping into the 70's - see picture.

I have been playing with different settings. Starting to like seeing lots of presets on the main screen and showing what is playing on the dash. With the heads up I still get speed in two other places. Kind of fun having options of where to put what. I may also swap and have the heads up show me what is playing and the speed on the dash.

Anyone else playing with their dash configs?

My buddy came into town with his new 2017 Mustang. It was fun to chase around with him.

Interesting, we only raced once at a red light. Very tight race - my Vert V6 versus his Eco 4.Yes I won (with him on my back quarter panel), but I am pretty sure had we gone further, that turbo may have bested me in a longer race.

On a sad note, he sent me a text shortly after he got home. While driving in town, a suicidal dear decided to commit an atrocious act by ending its life and doing nearly $6K of damage to a Mustang less than a month old.

Replying to a few things here.

Rally - sorry to hear about your friend's car. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even a Mustang owner.

Brrrrrrrrrr - it's gotten pretty cold here too. It dipped down to 68 during the day yesterday, had to break out my parka.

I've been using the rev match. Wow the downshifting is definitely smooth. The revving is kindof startling at first. In fact that's why I didn't use it again after I accidentally had it turned on and didn't know what it was. It freaked me out a bit. Not sure I like it, I mean I do like it, but it's just a little weird. And, I'm a pretty good shifter on my own! Especially in this car (not my husband's LOL - hate his clutch).

I haven't messed with the dash yet. It's still set to factory. I do like to have the heads up display with the speed and the song playing. I'm a big music fan.

Speaking of which, my favorite non-performance feature of the car is with the radio. You may or may not already know about it - you can set alerts for any artist or song and when that band or song comes on any channel (Sirius/XM, not sure about regular radio) the car will alert you. You get a notice on the dash and the heads up - and then you just push a button on the wheel and it automatically changes the channel to that channel. I love music, so it's a nice feature for me. And considering my minivan doesn't even have bluetooth, it's just one more feature on the Camaro that makes me feel like I'm in a futuristic rocket ship!

Also, this car is awesome. But you all knew that already.

After today we start our "cold" weather. Today it's raining with high 70. Tomorrow high is 55 with low in the upper 30s/low 40s. That will be our weather for a bit. Driving time will pretty much go away with that and getting dark before I get home from work.

That's cool you and your friend hung out and that you beat him.

Even though it's a mustang I do feel bad for him with the deer damage. That sucks no matter what you drive.

I've played around with the dash settings but I'm kinda boring at times so keep it rather simple for me.

Parka at 68?! That's not cold lol. But yeah it's getting to be that time of year.

Yeah the rev match is basically syncing the engine speed to the transmission speed. Hence the engine blips. Some people love it others hate it. I hated it at first till I got to know the car. Now I love it. It's great feature.

I was unaware of that feature. How does it work? And I think my truck has that feature but again no clue how it works lol. Sounds really cool.

LOL I went running a little while ago in shorts and a T-shirt and it was about 65 or so. Perfect if you ask me.

I changed my cluster screen to "Technology" I think it is (the one with the big circle in the middle with the speedo in the center). That's the only change I made but I have played around and like to keep tabs on my tire pressure.

Parka?!?! See my above comment haha. I used to rev match myself in my previous car but I probably went too high and I don't know if that caused unnecessary wear on the clutch so I'd rather the car do it lol. I didn't know about the radio feature but I pretty much only use Pandora, Spotify, and the regular radio. Sirius never really appealed to me.

Sounds similar to our weather. High of 70 today, High of 55 tomorrow and rain, and chance of snow on Sunday with a high in the mid to high 30's. I wish I was kidding.

As for the deer thing I'm scared to drive at night around here these days. The rut (mating season if you aren't aware) is starting around here and the deer start doing stupid things. There's a high enough chance you'll hit one any time of year but the rut makes it bad.
