Planing New purchase
Just sold my 4Runner and I'm looking to get into a v8 Camaro. Really loving the 1LE and ZL1 that were recently released and I was thinking I'd chose one of those. As of right now the 1LE is out. The 1LE looks lovely but I'm wanting the A8 and sunroof. I'm thinking of just getting a well spec'd 2ss also. I built one on the site and have attached a image. Am I missing anything of performance upgrade other then the 6 pistons brembo brakes that I'm passing on ? I thought I read somewhere about a differential choice? I'm getting closer I think. Lol. $50k 2ss vs $65k ZL1.

I struggled with the 1SS vs 2SS decision. I chose 1SS as I didn't need the bells and whistles. I also chose the A8. Love the car!! After mods I'm only in it 50K and I'm quite confident I outperform a ZL1. Just a thought, if you're after ZL1 performance. Also, the standard SS Brembos are PLENTY! Don't waste your money on the 6 pistons.
Good luck!! These are excellent cars.

Don't ever pay that much. I got my 1ss a8 npp for 30,600. Loaded 2ss can be had in the 34-37 range depending on options.

If you have the coin to spend of course go ZL1. But keep in mind to get the A10 you will be waiting till at least early spring time.
Your build looked pretty good but if you are mostly concerned with performance I would take off a few of those options you added. The 50th package is just an appearance package so that just comes down to taste, the sunroof is not ideal if you plan to track it, and you don't need footwell lighting since the 2SS already has the ambient lighting, and I think Nav is kinda a waste of money. The 6 pistons aren't necessary either but if you really want them get them from a vendor for like $1k less and put them on yourself. Just my two cents. |

Biggest regret would be not getting the 2ss.

But yes if there is a leftover in stock somewhere close to what you want now is the time to grab it for probably 25pct discount. |

Not here. Got a 1SS vert 6spd zero options for 20pct off in September and could not be happier with the car ! Not a single thing in the 2SS I would even car about except homelink. And I can live with a manual remote. Not a big deal.
