K&n intake differences
What is the difference between the K&N 71-3092 and 63-3092?
Just that one uses a metal tube and the other a poly? Is there a reason I'd want metal over poly? Or moshimoto over k&n? I'm mainly looking for the sound, hp is just a fringe benefit. |

I wouldn't buy either. There are much better options available.

I've heard the k&n and moshimoto, especially the moshimoto, are the loudest.

I'm new to the LT-1 engine. Been away from muscle cars for twenty plus years.
The NOISE you speak of with an aftermarket CAI system...Similar to the old time sound of a 4 bbl kicking in? |

LOL! I know I'm from the Jurrasic era...but have pity on an old guy!
Similar to going to the range and shooting one of my revolvers. I have young shooters come over and they have NEVER shot a revolver before. Different times than when I grew up. Perusing these threads trying to get educated. |

"You get what you pay for" has never been more true when its applied to modifying cars. I would personally keep my stock intake rather than buy the K&N intake. There are only two aftermarket solutions I would even consider based on performance and looks. I won't comment on either but if you do your research you will find a lot of info on them on the forum here. |
