I'm in Spring too bro and coincidental my 2nd house too lol. Pm me I'm sure I've probably seen you around. There is a black ss and a gray fifty like mine I spotted in Spring

Great old ad. Just sold a mint 2000 black Firehawk T/A a couple weeks ago. 8,500 miles on it......thus now I'm snooping for a new 2SS.

People still complaining about "fully loaded" SS coming in at 50 and over like that is the norm. Really tiring.

Sorry folks, but the only way you drive the cost of a 2SS Camaro into 50K range and higher is by adding on the big extras, such as the expensive wheels, or the ground effects or the big brake kit (more like 2 of those ON TOP of a 2SS with AUTO, MRC, and NPP exhaust)....OR you buy a 2SS convertible.

Then they love to say "may as well get a Corvette". Well sure...if your OK with having a Corvette that has pretty none of the features that the 2SS would have for less cost.

A )50,000+ 2SS isn't the norm, no. However a $47,000 is close to the normal asking price for a lightly optioned A8 2SS.

My 2SS was around $46,000 and only had 6 options. The options are in my sig. I was just trying to say that these cars really shouldn't be that expensive and if Chevy wants to sell more they should bring the prices down! If I remember the cost of a new 2010 2SS fully optioned was around $42,000 and my 2010 2SS that I bought new was $37,000 with only one option, the RS package which cost $1200.00.

You have to factor in some inflation in that.

According to the CPI calculator..$37,000 then is equal to about $41,600 today.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the Gen 6 2SS is a much better car and performer..the extra cost is justified. Where the difficulty is that wages have not risen as well..most people are still making roughly the same as they were then (in adjusted terms), so the price jump hurts.

Had wages and real income risen as well as the prices there wouldn't likely be this issue since people could absorb the higher costs easier.

You are correct, but saying that around here gets some peoples panties all in a bunch cause Chevy and the Camaro team can do no wrong.

Well, I can't speak for everyone but I don't buy sports cars I buy muscle cars. Of course the prices going up will drive sales down on these cars but I think the new generation (millenials?) out there favor the super cars or economical cars. The muscle car market appeal to a few percentage of car buyers.

I am just grateful I grew up with my dad who had his hands on the original muscle cars and passed that knowledge on to me.

They're referring to the dealer stock which the dealers are over-accessorizing, not the customers. You got v6 Camaros in the 40k range... for those that aren't custom ordering, the available options are not within the budgets of most in the market for a muscle car, weather it be the v8 or not.

+1
Those who don't think muscle cars are cool have forgotten what being cool is all about

Because electric performance car sales has increased. Tesla is an example.

Tesla is in no way competing with Camaro for sales. Or was that a joke?
