I could see an MCE in MY2019 with an all new model for MY2021.
5th gen had a six model year production run, 2010-2015...and was on a much older platform.

I'm young (31), wear skinny jeans and tank tops and absolutely refuse to buy an econobox. Don't lump all millenials together. I won't jump into debt on an overpriced house thus why I live in an upper middle class suburb North of Houston but in a 1350 sq ft 3/2/2 that will more than likely be paid for end of next year. I do hate debt without a doubt

I think the old days of generations that lasted a decade are long done. The 7th Generation Mustang is due out in 2020/2021 also, and it debuted in 2014 (2015MY).

3 MY's, Refresh and then 2 MY's might be the new "norm"

IMO Chevy could sell more if they lowered the price of the Camaro(all trim levels) by around $4000.00 especially the 2SS coupe and convertible and possibly the ZL1 also. Who in their right mind would have ever thought a SS fully loaded would be over $50,000? Not me. To me that's getting in the lower end of the Corvette. Working folks wages haven't gone up enough to pay for things and taxes over the last 8 years so people can't afford to buy these new cars anymore. The way prices for new cars and trucks are going in a few years the average cost of a new vehicle will be $100,000. Bring the price down on the new Camaro and people will buy them! Chevrolet, are you listening?

Did the math wrong.

My point still stands. The end of the decade is perfectly reasonable for the 7th gen.

Chevy didn't change the Camaro styling enough to get all the 5th Gen people, and new 6th Gen people to buy. It even took me a while to tell them apart. GM thought the gravy train would last forever with the existing styling theme. They make this mistake of not updating the styling and keeping it fresh over and over. That's what killed the 4th gen car. You have to take a risk to stay in business.

I don't fit the typical Millennial profile, but I definitely agree most of us can't afford a car at all, much less a $50k car. The 2016 2SS is the first new car I bought, but my 30th overall. I also bought my first house when I was 22, and I'm on my second at 28. I guess sometimes having screwed up priorities works out.

Every time I watch a football game on tv I see a Dodge commercial promoting the Hellcat and its horsepower while it smokes the tires. I'm a car guy so yeah I guess I think those commercials are cool. Not only am I a lifelong car guy, but I am a Camaro guy and very proud of it! So why am I not seeing a ZL1 commercial? This car is the hottest thing since sunburn so advertise the darn thing GM!!! A Camaro Convertible commercial maybe? A 50th Anniversary Edition commercial? How about a commercial advertising your track ready right out of the box 1LE? Or just a Camaro commercial in general??? Maybe if GM would advertise the car we wouldn't be talking about slumping Camaro sales. Come on GM get with it!!

I agree. I haven't even seen a Camaro commercial other than the one where there's 3 other cars being elevated while people laugh and say "wow what's happening"

Exactly! Those commercials are terrible and NOT what a car commercial should look like.

https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=tis8sgZVVyU One of my all time favorite car commercials. C6 Corvette. They need something like this for the Camaro.

I thought the Gen5 Camaro was the best so far but after I have owned my '16 since April I would say that the gen 6 is way better!! IMO this is what the Gen5 should have been. Better lo

Looks, handling and horsepower. I think Chevy didn't change it much is because people didn't want the overall look and shape changed. But sometimes I think the 6 Gen is like the proverbial red headed stepchild! I agree more money should be spent on commercials if they want people to buy them.
