Hi Glen,
I'm a big rinseless wash fan, but can't come close to doing a whole car in 15 min...more like 35-45. Between getting on the ground to do the lower panels, and getting back down again for dying them, seems to take me at least that long. Anything you're doing that is the trick to getting it done in 15 min? Thanks!

15 to 20 is what it takes me to do all the big paint areas. I don't get down on my knees and do the grill and get underneath, etc, I save that for my once every couple months hose off or a more complete rinseless.
You have to understand we are all different, or have reached different levels of detailing based upon our life situation. I don't worship my car at all, nor do I do shows. But my car stays relatively clean being in a closed condo garage, and in Florida. Sometimes I don't wash it for two or three weeks. So I'm not that OCD, I just try and knock off the big stuff to keep it looking good. And everybody always tells me it just looks washed… The Crystal seal goes a long way to slough off rain and stuff that hits it..... |

I should point out also that my 15 to 20 minute estimate does not include wheels. I do my wheels on a different day, they stay pretty clean, as I don't have the brembos and they have a si02 coating.

Got it. I wasn't including wheels either. If you're doing just the top surface of the car I can understand 15 min. Grill, diffuser, rocker arms, lower panels all add a bunch of time for me.

I running a soaked Mf across all those too, but don't spend any time on them....then just dry the whole thing with a waffle weave.

It takes me about 40 mins for a full real good rinseless wash to clean and dry everything, including wheels and inside doors, etc. I am OK with that because a full wash (non rinseless) would easily be double that for me and not look half as nice....so to me 40 mins is "quick"!

BIG THANKS Glen !!
I my first rinseless last night in my garage and it turned out amazing!! took me about 15-20 mins for the car ....and I did about a 75% of my normal clean on the wheels which took about another 15 mins. so about 35 mins and it looks like I spent my normal 1.5 to 2 hour "normal" wash. LOL And by the way it was the dirtiest my car has ever been ( drove on rain soaked roads but it wasn't raining...so road scum was horrible) and still easier !! Thanks!! ![]() Wish I had known about this back in my big car show days a few years back...would have saved me a LOT of work!

Glad you like it, blew me away the first time I did it too… But be careful .....
If the car is really dirty it's going to take a hose wash or a trip to the spray wand first, In order to ensure that you're not scratching the car. That and use many more towels and just go slow and make sure that they're completely soaked. Rinseless is for a maintenance weekly type wash, where of the car Is pretty clean, and just has raindrops, dust, fingerprints, etc. etc. |

a few weeks ago I did buy a pretty kick ass little electric pressure washer from Harbor Frieght that works excellent to spray the brake dust off my wheels before I wash them. no more trips the the spray wand LOL
